I really like the look. Finally a glove cheaper in the US. I want to get a pair of Cleto Reyes gloves.

The main man in the boxing equipment field right there👍 Top bloke🙌 As for the gloves, I would of liked to have seen Cleto Reyes stick with the original design with just maybe a little mod/adjustment. 🤷🏻‍♂️

They are amazing, great feedback, beautiful construction, and great wrist support for Velcro. They give you an intoxicating crack on the bag and mitts.

What about the thumb placement? A lot of the reviews I’ve read complain about the thumb? I was thinking of buying a pair, but considering the price, I don’t want to be disappointed.

After your experience with both the Precision or the original Hook & Loop version, which would you suggest for best all around training? I really want Cletos, just looking for great wrist and knuckle support.

These look nice I am looking for a new pair of gloves, which will be used predominately on the heavy bag and mitts.

@@Fit2Box yeah he as mate the guy who owns the shop used to work with grant and everlast he’s got some really good gear all the way round really some really good leather bags that he says are made in Mexico some really good shorts that he designs and stuff Suzi Wong used to work for him before she went solo you should have a chat and check out he’s gear he as absolutely everything tbh

I can buy the high precision and the hero 500 in mexico for 170$y(16oz). Which one would you recommend more?

You can use their normal training gloves for all of those

Not really bad but in the video I do run through The comfort section where I describe how the different parts of the gloves feel

Why do reviewers say this is not recommended for sparring because of the stitching? Hayabusa has them in their splint and people are ok with that. Why?

Well these are designed as bag gloves by Reyes so it’s more Reyes themselves saying they are not for sparring I rate Hyabusa T3 as a low ‘good’ score 91 for sparring there are definitely better options to spar in Both these and the T3 are better designed for the bags imo

I've come to the conclusion that Cleto Reyes are a badge product, living off their former successes. I did, at one time, want to own a pair, but for the price you have to pay I think you can get a better glove for your buck.

As much as I love Reyes gloves for the smell and look and quality, I’ll never buy another pair. The thumb jams, wrist support lacked and they’re to thin for sparring. I was hoping these would be different

To be fair there is no “edge” where the two leathers meet. The leather is nicely rolled and smooth.

@@mrrg4078 well Reyes market them as training and bag gloves rather than sparring I scored them as bag gloves only I would say if you want sparring and gloves you can use on the bags then go Reyes normal gloves not these

I agree . You can get a better all round glove from rival or fly and have 50 to 70 pounds left over

​@@ashman4473 What you say is definitely not true in the EU. I can get these Cleto Reyes gloves for 250pounds but if I want to buy a pair of Fly gloves, with shipping and custom fees, it's a bit over 350 pounds.
