@@Good_Day_Dema I agree with your opinion, they will be releasing it in order. Since clancy’s 1st song got released, they released 2 songs in order. Potentially, The Craving might be the next single, but if released Wednesday, they actually don’t need to release the craving because Clancy is gonna release in 2 days. I also am mad that tøp switched clancy’s release in my exam 😡

I'm personally team Midwest indigo because it makes more sense to stick to the pattern, but the craving seems pretty convincing!

Hi dema! I have another theory for you… I wonder if the “WELCOME BACK TO TRENCH” In overcompensate can be seen in the form of blurry face changing form a negative thing and sort of into a neutral thing… like a narrator. This is supported from the idea of there sort of being a truce of sorts? Also, it is theorized that at the end of the storyline the truce would occur at the end of the storyline when Clancy would be entering back into trench. I’d love to hear anyone’s thoughts and I’m really excited for the new single!

Hi! You have two quite nice theories here, although one is a bit more credible than the other. You are completely right in assuming that "welcome back to trench" could potentially be blurryface returning as a narrator due to the presence of leitmotifs, however tøp employ many different leitmotifs in the trench story. If you compare, let's just say, stressed out's blurryface talk to overcompensate, you will find the voice is much much deeper in stressed out, therefore it isn't really a match. The voice saying "welcome back to trench" actually has a lot of similarities with the voice that says that reversed gibberish at the start of NATN and also in chlorine ("it been a little while"). That is Josh and is used to signal the presence of the Banditos. If you pitch the voice up and remove the effects overlaying the voice, you will find it is 100% josh saying that, not Tyler, which is the norm for all the blurryface quotes. However, there have been many instances of the idea of truce and cycles in many of tøp's previous lore related songs! Not only that but one could argue that songs like backslide (which beg to his insecurities) and next semester (which accept the struggle of anxiety and hope for a better tomorrow) all feature instances of truce with one's internal demons. I think the best way to demonstrate how a truce and a restart in the cycle would work is in this line in march to sea: "so take me up and seal the door, i dont want to march here anymore. I realise that this line is dead. So I'll follow you instead. So then you put me back in my place so I might start another day and once again I will be in a march to the sea". This is a great theory, and I definitely agree with the truce part!

I really appreciate you taking the time to reply to my theories :) The only reason I am apart of the clique at this point is because I was one of the first people to see the red tape on the albums which made me confused so then I started doing research. Which inevitably lead me to your channel. I did not know that there was a difference between Josh and Tyler’s deepened voices, which makes sense now considering your comment. There is a photo of the boys performing on ice in the album's physical copy (lyrics page). According to the lyrics, it appears that Midwest Indigo is a freezing _"place"_ on their way home in Ohio.
