Absolutely freaking beautiful! Citizen, is really upping their game. Character, modernity, and heritage in an affordable price point.

Citizen is killing it. I would not buy another Seiko because of QC issues. I love citizens attention to detail. If they put sapphire on these id pay more and it would be unstoppable.

I was enamoured by the original blue and black ones, and only recently bought myself one, being the green face and bezel. I love these watches, and have to agree that this version is a handsome, and different colored dial than most divers. not to mention, the solar quartz movement makes it so it essentially never dies. Thanks for the video!

5:51 Actually, there is a model that came with a bracelet which is the BN0158-85X. I own it and it’s really a beautiful piece, the green dial and the darker green bezel with the white minute chapter ring really give it a look!

Agreed. They're is just something about that dial color.

Surely the green lume is because the colour pops with the blue in daylight?

This one seems to be available in Canada everywhere now..

I have the black face version, the JDM on the bracelet, and I love it. I'd think it would be SUPER fun if they did a bracelet JDM version of the black and GOLD bn0152.

Great looking watch, just a pity about the lume being green, thanks for the upload. I do have a question. As you mentioned, the dimensions across the Promaster family are all the same, would the bezel insert of the BN0168-06L fit the BN0151-09L?

Citizen has really been on a roll lately releasing lots of fun and colourful variations of its dive watches. I just wish they’d start making some smaller watches in the 40mm range. The 37mm ladies variant is a bit too small. Most of their other Promaster divers are 44-45mm or larger. Thankfully the BN0150 series wears pretty good still despite its 44mm case.

I was just eyeing this online! And then you do a review. 😅 good and bad. Now it will probably be sold out 😅

Sapphire isn't always the best material for a crystal.

I agree I think this dial is pretty awesome. The only thing I can't get past with Citizen is the bezel and the gaps between the teeth of the bezel. Just something about it that throws me off. I'd buy it today if it was a coin edge bezel.

I have the black dial: the BN0150-10E. I LOVE IT! Amazing watch! But with alignment issues for the second hand. Is there a way to adjust this?

Hey Mav, it looks like the numbers in the bezel insert are also blue in the video.

This watch features a sapphire crystal dial window, which is highly resistant to scratches and provides clear visibility of the dial. Sapphire crystal is one of the most durable materials used for watch crystals. - this is the description the place I purchased from Says, is this not accurate?

Yes, the bracelet is so so. Slightly bend the pins so they go in at an angle, or just put it on a strap. I put mine on a grey tropic strap.

often, mineral crystals are better for diver watches, as sapphire is more susceptible to shattering when under high pressure, so when diving, it is better to have a mineral crystal, as a crystal failure on sapphire will result in a ruined watch.

I have noticed a lot of the new release Citizens have moved away from the blue lume, which isa pity

I’ve been wanting to buy the steel bracelet for my blue one.Until now I can’t find it.

I had the original black version and sold it last year. It wore well and the bracelet was one of the most comfortable I've had. The seconds hand not hitting the markers was the deciding factor to sell. Thought I could live with it, but no. Seeing this new blue version has me thinking about purchasing it. Thanks for the video!

Yah man. Sometimes Maverick is the only guy who has reviews of certain citizen watches. Others are in Japanese and are promotional videos where people talking about the watch, without showing the watch. And this watch is available in citizen Canadian site too. Along with the Grey one.

Most JDM watches are firstly made in Japan and will say so in tiny print under the six o'clock index. Secondly they are only sold on their respective company's Japanese website. Turns out this is NOT a JDM Citizen watch.. It just came out on Citizen's Japanese website first and then I guess Citizen decided to sell this outside of Japan as well.

Nice piece 👍 Excellent pricing. Wish the movement was automatic, though. Interesting how all the JDM models come in the itty bitty boxes. Seiko JDM models get the itty bitties as well 🤔. I've had a couple that came in "appropriate" presentation boxes but, they were in the neighborhood of around 1,000$.

Not sure why you didn't show the clasp. It was hard to tell if it was milled or pressed. That's an important factor when buying watch. Thanks for the video

Mineral crystal? So it's gonna get tons of scratches. Inexcusable there is no saphire crystal. A pass for me.

I think the 44 includes the crown with promasters. Around 42.5 without.
