NEW CHANGES to 2025 Level 3 Exam - Three Separate Exam Paths - You Can SWITCH Them If You Retake It

Meet Nathan Ronen, CFA, Lead Instructor and Co-Founder of Chalk & Board. In this video, Nathan describes the planned changes to the 2025 CFA Level 3 exam and the three new exam pathways (paths). For 2024, the CFA Level 3 exam should be similar to the 2023 Level 3 exam with one change: Behavioral Finance is no longer its own topic and it's been absorbed into the other topics as CFA sees fit. In 2025, however, the CFA Level 3 exam changes are more significant. The 2025 CFA Level 3 exam will now have three exam paths: (1) Portfolio Management, (2) Private Wealth and (3) Private Markets. Note that if you do not pass your 2025 CFA Level 3 exam the first time, you can change your exam path to a different one for your retake if you want.

I have the question that, Is just taking these practice skills modules the charter will be delivered?

The new practical skills modules are for Level 1 and Level 2. You need to complete them to get your Level 1 and Level 2 exam results. They do not apply to Level 3. The 2025 Level 3 curriculum will be split into three different paths, as described in the video. You will pick one and get the exam for that path. If you do not pass and want to retake Level 3 using a different path, you can switch.
