NEW CAR REVEAL | I Imported a KEI CAR From JAPAN 🇯🇵
In this video I finally reveal another new car that has joined the Live to Drive fleet. I have waited 368 days for this... You may not actually like it... but I absolutely love it.

Lucky you guys can get such newer and safer imported vehicles there. Meanwhile here in the US, we are stuck with 25 years or older deathtraps if we want to import anything.

Yes that would be frustrating to say the least. Sounds like the system there needs to be made fit for purpose.

Thanks. I love the Tanto and have no problem with those who don’t. It is certainly different… for UK but if we were in Japan of course, they are everywhere. Thanks for watching and your support. 👍

Well worth the wait & Congratulations. It is an amazing package, loving the pillar-less sliding door & all that storage including a spare wheel, amazing. My MX5 Eunos was imported in 2004, prior to my ownership, the Documents & flare had gone missing, but it still has the stickers, one indicates the Emperor of the time apparently. The underneath is hopefully rust free, are you getting it waxed ? Beautiful fit in the car port. Random related point, I sell young plants, Osaka & Nagoya are Ornamental Cabbage, so are presumably from that area

Thank you. Yes the underneath is rust free. I am going to get it sealed as it hasn’t ever likely seen salt on roads. We can’t believe that Fran’s Toyota Yaris, which is slightly larger than it, has so much less legroom in the back. If boot space isn’t so important you can have limousine style legroom. Did you import your MX5 yourself? Selling plants from Osaka and Nagoya… 👍

@@LivetoDriveUK Japan don’t use road salt. Yes the space is extremely impressive, it beats my wife’s Honda Jazz, which is tardis like. My Eunos imported Prior to my ownership, hence those bits were lost. Ornamental Cabbage Osaka & Nagoya have been sold in the UK for years, I used to work for a Japanese seed breeder

I like the Japanese K cars. So much interior space for a small car and what a great colour, it looks good. Look forward to seeing more videos on your Daihatsu.

Thanks. I have looked at them for ages and really happy to eventually get one. It is fun and very practical. Gets some looks but usually of the “what the hell is that?” 😁

Love it! So little footprint, so much space.👌 Not my favourite of the fleet, that remains the 75, but I really want one, in fact I want yer whole darned fleet. 😁 👍

  • @LivetoDriveUK

Haha. Thanks. Yes it is such a mad thing and in Japan they do seem to know how to get the best from a limited amount of footprint. The 75 is lovely, although it is currently going all “typical Rover K series” on me at the moment. But for the £3K I now have invested in the 75, including the initial purchase price, I can’t think of a more luxurious and comfy cruiser. I wouldn’t recommend anyone having the “whole darned fleet” as I am at risk of snookering myself… because usually someone buys a car to enjoy and then sell, sometimes at a profit, to enjoy another model. Me… I have backed myself into a corner as I don’t want to part with any. Thanks for watching and your comment.

Brilliant little big car, why don't we have tall cars like this here. From a family of 6 6 foot plusers ? . Best of luck with all your channels, all very good to watch. Been to Lytchett Manor on the strength of your video and loved it there.

People prefer “big” cars over here with premium makes like Mercedes and BMW. The Kei car is so different but so practical too. Thanks for your support with both channels.

@4:42 Very similar in terms of functionality to a Toyota bB with the venerable 1NZ-FE. If it is just about practicality, the Toyota Funcargo or Yaris Verso isn't much different. @19:00 No, you Brits still drive on the wrong side. 😘😝 It is a huge advantage for imports, though. Japanese cars are generally cheaper.
