I always had a soft spot for the Atlanta-class ships. They’ll just murder anything smaller than a battleship.

You got me into UAD and I thank you so much for it, my first campaign was US and it was the most fun I have ever had in gaming, conquered Europe and parts of Russia by the end!

Cool. We get see what Munro does with the "Flush Deck Destroyer" and the (IIRC) "Large Scout Cruiser." I personally have no idea how to make a decent ship out of those two.

Ha! America is my plan for my next campaign too. I'm just winding up my own Italian Campaign at the moment where I went for the doctrine of speed - I have fleets where every single ship other than the BBs have a speed of 40 knots (and the BBs are mostly 36 knot, 64,000 tonners armed with 4x3 400mm guns, backed up with my only slightly slower 4x2 18 inchers). There's been nary a single 'Ghost Battle' with those speeds (and since I'm not fighting against Italy), and especially so given I have a huge number of 42 knot Battlecruisers armed with 4x2 390mm guns around the Italian dominated world capable of chasing down just about anything the mad AI might throw.

Ah, a Splendid 4th indeed!!! I have some challenge ideas (doctrinal approaches if you may): -The full-on Munro Doctrine 😉... An All-American Western Hemisphere: if not your allied minor, then war it shall be w/ that minor's allied (major) partner (for their lack of faith in your Great(er) American Dream!!!). -The Arsenal of Democracy agreeing to build literally every export contract bid. -YOLO Solo... (Major) Allies, Pfft who needs them. Lastly, -Happy Treason Day (ungrateful colonials): Erase the British Empire (& her Dominions) from the Map. Feel free to use any if they creatively inspire! 🤩 😍If I could make one request, could you look into giving the Modernized Battleship II or III some love??? (They can be spicy w/ modern US towers!!!) Also, Modernized BB II is Drachinifel's favorite hull (USS New Mexico in her WWII refit). Happy Hunting!!! 🧨🎆🎌💥

YES CANT WAIT AHHHHHHH Are you going to try to make historical builds at all?

The real questions will be - Historical opponents (ie, Spain, which will pretty well occupy the first 10 years of the campaign), or Random - do you build up separate West Coast fleets to expand into the Pacific, or do you put things off until the Panama Canal is open. With all that oil and economic potential from the start, and that nice two ocean barrier (unless you piss off Britain or France with all their Carribean holdings), no far flung colonial possessions to worry about defending initially, if you can keep the other major powers off your back for the first 10 to 15 years, you can build up an almost insurmountable lead in money, tech, and shipbuilding capacity. If there's an easy button in UAD, it's the US. The only thing I dislike about the US, if starting in 1890, is that you get absolute shyte for cruiser hulls until you hit the 1920's.

I have had this game since EA. I didnt even know that I had been given a steam code for the final full release...honestly just thought I had gotten screwed. The last I had played was before the entire world opened up. Talk about overwhelming. And good lord the loading times. Any tips or advice on how to get going or early game strategy let me know guys. I was quite good at this game when it first was released but now I havent a clue wtf I am doing lol

You need some battleships early on but try to keep your initial fleet small ish, build your economy as much as possible by investing in transports and avoid early wars.

@@BrotherMunro I don't care if the ship has my name. Only that my design can partecipate to the competition. But, if you want, I can roleplay as a Gunnery Officer on a Battleship and later the commander of one of the fleets (I'm specialized in Battleships, so those are the ones I will mainly command). The modality of my roleplay is that, since you'll be the one actually playing the game, that I don't own, and that cannot be played in co-op, My roleplay will consist in me sending "reports" and "telegrams" to the Command (you) in the comment section, reporting pratically every encounter my fleet's been part of. If you want some examples of that type of roleplay, watch Panzergraf's Italian Campaign and read my comments. You'll make yourself an idea.

Year: About 1925-1930 (it depends of when the hull drops) Number of Planned Units: 2 Hull: The Modernized Dreadnought V (maybe IV, I don't remember which one, it's the biggest one before the Modern Battleship) Displacement: Max it out. I don't remember how much was it. 0% Draft 2% Beam Max Design Speed: From 28 to 32 knots (at construction. Could be increased if possible) Main Tower: Advanced Fire control Station IV, I think it is (the one that isn't the massive Pagoda Style, the one that resembles the USS Texas, with the tripod mast installed and visible. I understand wanting to pay back your supporters and earn more for your work at the same time, but this is the same thing that Stealth did and it so ruined the emersion for me that I no longer watch his videos, there's nothing worse than a ship named romeo1999.
