New Caledonia: A colourful archipelago | WIDE

In New Caledonia, nature expresses itself in all its magnificence.
The archipelago orbits around a central axis: Grande Terre. The main island is bordered by the largest lagoon in the world.
But Grande Terre is not only fascinating by the intensity of its blue waters. It also possesses a very rich plant life. Nearly 3400 plant species have been found in New Caledonia and it is estimated that several hundred remain to be discovered.
