The turret feel is a lot better on the cheaper 6-24x50 Match Pro. The Match Pro ED is mushy. The glass on the Match Pro ED isn't good enough for 30x. Past 24x-25x image quality starts to go bad and gets really dark.

If you like the Match Pro you'd love the Athlon Midas TAC 6-24x50. It's currently $467 at DVOR for the next 4 days. I upgraded my Match Pro and Engage scopes to the Midas TAC and boy what a night and day difference. The Midas TAC is even clearer and has much nicer turrets than the new Match Pro ED.

Thanks for the extensive video with lots of detailed information regarding this product. Always leave here smarter than when I came in. The Bushnell Match Pro is an awesome scope. I have the 6-24 non ED version and love it. I would like to know from the viewers of this channel for a recommendation on a scope for a Henry 22lr lever action rifle. My Bushnell spotting scope broke in a high wind at a match. That's one negatives of a straight eye piece or binos. They have to be up much higher. If these are as clear as the bushnell forge binos, that they look identical to then I'll have to give them a try. For me at a match, the range finder just is not that important. I keep mine on the side of my tripod so I can just pop it on quickly. Now my one issue with Bushnell, is the warranty. They will cover the item like the did my spotting scope that fell over. But it was over 6 months to get one.

The other brands mentioned has noticeably superior image quality and better turrets and better build quality. Bushnell seems to be behind and not using the best glass. They seem to be profit oriented with only average to below average products while charging the same as the competition mentioned which are noticeably better. The lower model Bushnells that are made in China are way too overpriced as well including the new Match Pro ED that's a $500 scope at best but they charge $699.99 for it and that's a rip off.

I briefly owned a Match Pro ED and had a Match Pro and didn't like them at all and thought they weren't as good as Athlon Midas HD line and above and I was a long time Bushnell fan for decades they're overpriced for what lower quality you get nowadays. The Match Pro and Match Pro ED don't seem to be made at the same Chinese factory. The new Match Pro ED has mushy turrets the old one feels way better even without a zero stop. The glass on the Match Pro ED isn't that good either. When you go on high magnification past 24x-25x it gets noticeably darker and image quality goes south and seems it would have been a great 4-24x56 instead. The ED glass quality simply isn't good enough for a 30x. The Athlon Ares BTR Gen 2 4.5-27x50 is better with better glass and better turrets. Currently $565.49 on sale at Walmart online and Amazon while everyone else sells it for $869.99. You're also better off with a Viridian Xactus 5-30x56 better image quality and better turrets buy only when on sale at Optics Planet use a discount code they give you for signing up or they often have percentage off codes better than 10% off and free shipping.

I just got the original match pro and love that thing. I bet this new ones are amazing at the price.
Great review... thanks for making this vid!
Great review Ray. I am wanting a set of the Binoculars. I wish they had a range finder as well. Id be willing to pay $1200-$1400. It would be worth it. At 1K or less it's a HOMERUN!!! @Bushnelloptics please make a new set with LRF inside as well.

I would like something that has a short distance parallax adjustment but not too heavy.

Found the review informative.

Hey Ray, if you're not shooting with a range finder that figures out your true ballistic range when shooting at an angle, how do you figure out your angle so you can get accurate dope using the cosine method at say 800 yards where you were first shooting at?

@@XRING I got to try the binos while ROing in Colorado this past weekend. I definitely have some thoughts.
I purchased the binoculars. Any recommendation on a neck strap and case for them?
Which would pick between the match pro ED and the Arken EP5 5-25-56. Considering warranties, glass clarity, reticle, and turret feel. Is the bushnell worth the extra $200 over the Arken?
So, I’ve considered Arken EP5, Blackhound Evolve 24x, and this Bushnell. If you could ONLY have one….which would YOU go with???
Young guys are always trying to force things and breaking them. They should not own Vortex binoculars because their eyepieces all though functional, are very delicate. Infact I just bought a pair of feasible ,Vortex Binos and was watching a KZread review on them and a rifle, but the guy couldn't share his review on the binos because he overturned the eyepiece and broke them, not a deal breaker for me, just have to remember not to hand them to highstrung youngsters, or run durability tests on them like yours.Great video, thanks..

Hello Chad, So, you know I have had this rifle for quite some time now. Believe it or not, it is still one of my most favorite rifles. I can throw Hornady factory ammunition in it and shoot very small groups every time. It’s not finicky and it’s built like a tank. I really don’t mind the bolt play on them at all and it hasn’t failed me yet. You actually reminded me that I need to buy the folder assembly. 👍🏼

Both Match Pro ED Scope and Binoculars are made in CHINA. Be aware the illuminated reticle has a one year electronics warranty not lifetime.
I have a pair of Match Pro ED MRAD Binoculars on the way. Do you know if anyone makes a padded cover that can be left on and used with them mounted on a tripod. Something like the padded case for a spotting scope. I haven't found the right search terms to find one.
