New Brunswick Bay of Fundy Road Trip

A New Brunswick Bay of Fundy road trip is one for the bucket list-one that will tease the senses, mystify the mind, sooth the soul and embolden the explorer in you. New Brunswick is located in Canada’s Maritime region, which also makes up Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island (PEI). Bordering the state of Maine to the west and Quebec to the North, New Brunswick is flanked by water on the other two sides of the province, most notably the Bay of Fundy. New Brunswick is a large province, so this Bay of Fundy road trip focuses on the coastal parts of the province.
Some of the highlights of this Bay of Fundy road trip include:
-Saint John Harbor Cruise, Skywalk, Farmers Market, Live music and more.
-St. Martins for hiking the low tides and kayaking the high tides.
-St. Andrews for a hike around New River Beach park, Whale Watching excursion, Farmers Market and Golf.
-Ferry to explore Grand Manan Island.
-Explore Fundy National Park and witness the world's highest and lowest tides at Hopewell Rocks.
-This New Brunswick road trip ends in Moncton for several activities before heading to PEI.

thanks for the road trip. With COVID-19 and the borders closed, i can't get up to St. Martins, NB, where I've been spending summers for the past 20 years...but it was fun to see it with you. Next time you go to St. Martins, you have to stay a few more days, please, and see all the other wonders there: the miracle beach stones of many colors, fascinating shapes, and many origins from 4 continents; many other geological wonders; plus the two covered bridges over the Irish River; the Country Inn (also known as the Castle): the Quaco Museum; the views from West Quaco Road and from Mosher Hill...Not to mention the Fundy Trail; the death-defying suspension bridge over the Salmon River; the history of ship building at the Interpretation Center; sea captains' homes (some with ghosts); five different beaches each with its own character and geology; and lots of other sights, with delicious sweet clean air, natural air conditioning from the Bay...You could do a week there...no trouble. As for the city of Saint John, you whisked through terribly fast and left out the historic stories of the Loyalists who founded the city. GO MORE SLOWLY, please on your trips. You left me breathless and wanting slower pacing. Gorgeous photography, and lovely hikes. Good job.

The depth of our tides at the saint John mill are 175 to 200 m in depth Vs Nova Scotia it reaches 16 m in depth with a 3.5 m change from time to time based on low tide or high tide In New Brunswick we have the gulf of Maine in one side then the Passamaquoddy bay which flow into The bay of fundy which then heads towards Nova Scotia and meets up with the St. John river at our mill and the Saint John river is actually flowing from the our skirts closer to the highway heading towards Nova Scotia into Saint John , Saint John is about the halfway point between both ends of New Brunswick Everyone claims that they have the highest tides that live in the bay of fundy as the bay of fundy is home to world largest tides St. Andrews and the highway to Nova Scotia is on opposite ends of the province of New Brunswick But the watershed for the bay of fundy is gulf of Maine meaning that it’s feed from Maines waters into ours which then becomes the st croix river staring at the boarder of Canada in st Stephen and the Passamaquoddy bay in st Andrews The collision causes the rapids as the Saint John river and the bay of fundy collide at the Saint John pulp mill , Which causes the bay of find to go straight and the St. John river to reverse and go opposite direction before it feeds out the other way that it was originally headed which is how we got the name reversing fallsThat is what causes the rapids And Saint John is the only place on the bay of fundy that can get rapids like those

Thank you for your suggestion. It's a bit difficult to talk ab out costs because there are so many factors, i.e. type of car you rent, level of hotels you wish to stay at, casual or fine dining, etc. See what I mean? You can travel anywhere in the world on the cheap, or in luxury. I appreciate you watching and taking the time to post your suggestion, hope you enjoyed the video and will subscribe for more road trip travel videos. Cheers, Mike

@@RoadTripTravel -- Oh yeah! My mother, grandmother, and grandfather were born in St John. So beautiful, but the danger is still there as it is in so many other beautiful places. That whole eastern seaboard is dangerous, again as it is in so many beautiful places that it is not realized. My grandmother died younger than I am now. My grandfather died in his early 50s. My mother did a little better, but only 5 years better than her mother. None ever had any treatment for Lyme, but when I started having problems, I kept looking and looking and did get treatment. No cure, I don't think there is one. I love the beauty, but, alas I have earned a real phobia. My oldest brother has had his brain so messed up by the same thing. My grandmother was labeled with Parkinson, my grandfather had a heart attack in his early 50s (I think that will get me too), my mother just became so weak and died, and my brother is labeled as Alzheimer. POTS, Parkinson, Alzheimer, MS (I almost had that diagnosis), ALS, and so many others, all result from infection. I could go on and on with details, but I am quite sure you have already had TMI. Oh, how I would like to just be able to enjoy the beauty as I did years ago not knowing any better. But I can just drive by, so there is that way to still enjoy the beauty. Sorry if I bored you to death.
