To be clear, a lot of people who deal with infertility turn to IVF in order to get pregnant. It's LITERALLY considered a treatment for infertility, and if that's what Brandi does, it doesn't change the depth of her character. In fact, it would touch upon another facet of life with infertility. It's not "if you stretch the cheetah onesie, it'll fit," and instead, "if you find a onesie that might fit you, it's okay to take the opportunity to TRY AGAIN." I'm a person who doesn't want kids, but i still resonate with Brandi and Chili, because my mother was not supposed to have me. Sometimes accidents happen and sometimes, we try again a different way, and that works.

I agree! And I don't think her getting pregnant removes that representation at all. It's supposed to say "there's always another way", at least that's how I see it. It's supposed to be hope. Infertility is something that my grandmother dealt with and she was able to have two kids biologically and adopt one, so I can totally see Brandy having a biological child and adopting as well. For some reason people think that if she has a biological child then adoption is suddenly out of the question. For me Brandy getting something she's always wanted is supposed to be a symbol of hope for women who want to have kids but are unable to have them due to being infertile or sterile, but if she gets pregnant AND adopts, then she' still representation for those who deal with these struggles but is also a symbol of hope. I know some people will argue that Chili was already that symbol, but Chili as a character has gone so beyond those struggles that I think Brandy fits better overall as said symbol. Chili is meant for those who are already moms, and her backstory is there for those who look. She was created with a much larger range when it comes to people relating to her, so she's more of a jack of all trades when it comes to parenthood. Brandy as a character is more specific if that makes any sense. Chili's miscarriage doesn't automatically mean she's infertile, as that can happen to any women regardless of health or how fertile they are. A miscarriage is a miscarriage no matter what causes it, and Chili's experience is meant to relate to anyone who's gone through one regardless of circumstance. Brandy however is confirmed to be infertile, so to me her having a kid, regardless of it being biological or adopted, is so much more impactful as hope. I hope she can adopt after this since that would expand not only her character, but also the amount of people who can relate to her. I'm sorry if this all sounds weird or unfocused I'm trying my best here. At the end of the day this is a comment on a youtube video about Bluey.

Some people are just very black and white. The onesie comparison was simply an easy to understand allegory for children. Adults know that there's other methods of getting a baby after trying the natural way for who knows how long that potentially can lead to a baby like IVF. While it would have been nice if they did the whole adoption route adoption isn't for everyone and shouldn't seen or used a consultation prize to not being able to have a baby. Brandi is not seen enough for them to show how she arrives at that point where she sees adoption as more than a consultation prize.

I said this before in another comment but if they just left Brandy like that and didn't have her explore more options when it comes to infertility, then why even have the representation in the first place? It really would be like saying "because it's not meant to be then don't try anything else. Just accept it." Even though just like Bluey can get a new cheetah onesie that fits her, Brandy can explore more options so she can get what she wants. The options are out there, and even though they may not work for everyone it doesn't ruin her character at all for her to be a symbol of hope for women who deal with infertility. I don't see why that would ruin her character at all.

My third grandma (my grandma because my aunt/god mother who married my maternal uncle the year I was born was never able to have kids so my siblings and cousins other uncle kids and myself were the closest she got to grandkids) was told she never be able to have anymore kids and then she got pregnant with my aunt

I wouldn't be surprised if they kept the same VA of Bluey in the special as the VA grew up! That would be nice to see! As well for Brandy! Even though she is fertile, infertility doesn't mean you cannot have children; you can, but having children is at a low rate!

Exactly. People often make the mistake of believing that infertile means unable to have kids, which is incorrect. The medical term for unable to have kids is sterile not infertile. Infertile means it is more difficult to have kids, but not impossible. Infertility is specifically defined as not hav by a kid despite trying for a year+. It doesn’t mean never, it just means reduced fertility.

I love it whenever there are kid VAs and you can hear them grow up in their voices it’s just so special

I believe bosco and frisky must've been dating for a while, maybe a couple years (2 minimum) or months, and frisky was so sure he would be the one for her, until the day he did something that broke her heart. Maybe he cheated on her, or they had a fight of some sort- Maybe they were going to get engaged but he went off , or the relationship itself ended up harmful towards her in some way and she needed to get out. Whatever it was that caused them to break up most likely gave her anxiety when it comes to relationships. Like- potentially that sort of anxiety where you get mad at yourself for not being able to control it

There are a lot of people judging this who have never struggled with infertility before… My mother lost 3 or 4 before having me and I know someone who is currently dealing with it too- and she ALSO hopes to have her rainbow baby. Would it help them if Brandy never got her dream? No. One pregnancy DOES NOT undo all that trauma. It doesn’t ruin her story and it doesn’t mean she’s not an interesting contrast in character for Chilli anymore. Having her adopt wouldn’t fix anything. It’s really dismissive to tell someone struggling with infertility to “just adopt” and it’s something people going through that hear a lot. It could’ve been kinda tonedeaf imo to “solve” her problem that way, because it doesn’t actually address the mental health aspects of infertility, just like her getting pregnant doesn’t. We just have to trust that they’ll explore that. “But the point of onesies-“ was flawed. Sometimes something is just “not meant to be” but this is another super dismissive and unhelpful thing people say to people dealing with infertility. Infertility doesn’t necessarily mean you’re sterile. It just means you have trouble- you’re not very fertile. Sometimes you can’t have what you want. That’s still true- she still suffered for years of not having the one thing she wanted… and when she finally gets it (if she does), that trauma won’t be magically cured. She wanted a baby years ago. She wanted a healthy, spontaneous pregnancy, years ago. She didn’t get what she wanted. If she did IVF, she maybe still hasn’t. Remember, we don’t know HOW she got pregnant (probably IVF). We don’t know if she will STAY pregnant, although I do doubt they’ll have her lose the pregnancy. And most importantly, we don’t know how she could still struggle with the FEAR of losing the pregnancy. She’s still HER, she’s just hopefully getting her dream. I think we can trust the writers to show that in a sensitive light. And, again, to all the ppl saying “just adopt.” Please never say that to someone dealing with infertility because that’s really dismissive.

This! I'll never get why people want to think about complex issues like this in such black&white manner. I love the point you made that her trauma and losses and unfulfilled wish to have a baby years back will not just become not valid suddenly. People seem to get that her having a kid through adoption is not the same as what she was wishing for initially. I don't get how there seems to be an idea that using other methods or having your own baby down the line with all the attached trauma is somehow not different to not having the issues in the first place. The contradictions to these "but the onesie episode" complaints make little sense.

I thought it was Calypso telling Bluey “everything will work out the way it’s supposed to, Bluey” when Calypso was cheering her up in that one scene in a different trailer

For Bluey’s voice I’m pretty sure Ludo Studio had been adjusting the pitch of Bluey and Bingo’s voice. I have the feeling it is the same voice actor. It wouldn’t surprise me if they just decided to stop doing that for Bluey since she is getting older.

Ok here’s my prediction. Bandit and chilli will try to sell the house but first they decide to have radley and friskys wedding there before officially selling it. Then when frisky gets cold feet and chilli and the girls go to find her, bandit will hang out with stripe and radley where they’ll reminisce about their past and bandit apologizes for acting like a bad brother to them and they forgive him. It’s then revealed that the heeler house is actually the heeler bros childhood home and they tell bandit he should reconsider his decision about selling it and actually keep it. Bandit thinks about what they said and begins to have second thoughts. Meanwhile chilli is messaging bandit about someone needing to pick them up and then frisky is the one to pick them up no longer having cold feet. The wedding is a success and bandit tells chilli he’s having second thoughts about selling the house. They then discuss the main reason why they consider selling the house which is because the house is getting old and they’re worried they can’t afford proper renovations. Then brandy reveals she’s pregnant which ultimately helps bandit make his decision to keep the house so he and chilli can be there for their new niece or nephew and they’ll find a way to give it the renovations it needs. All the families from bandits, chillis, and friskys sides of the family agree to help them out and we see everyone fixing up what needs to be fixed. Then we get the scene where bandit and chilli look at the house seeing it’s better than ever. Thats my prediction. EDIT: Also I predict chilli will have bandit and stripe distract radley as much as possible in order for him not to worry about frisky having cold feet until they find her.

I don’t think people understand that sometimes people have rainbow babies. It’s very rare but it doesn’t invalidate the lesson that Onesies teaches. It actually shows sometimes you get lucky. And that though you couldn’t wear the cheetah onesie you did find out that you could fit the zebra one instead and it worked for you. And though you didn’t like it at first (didn’t feel like a real mom) you learned to love it in time (realized you’re happy to finally have a baby regardless of how it happened or how long it took)

When I told my little brother that Bluey was getting a 28 minute-long episode is going out, I had to explain to him what “special event episodes” are. I’m getting old… Also I’m kind of sad that kids nowadays don’t really get to experience one of those “you don’t wanna miss it” event episodes nowadays, cause the whole season of a TV show could just be released on streaming. But hopefully Bluey could bring that trend back.

I love how Bluey is growing up if indeed it's a new VA, and the fact that Brandy is now pregnant shows that a miracle can actually happen.

I just know muffin is going to be the most chaotic and funny flower girl 😂

I agree. The most compelling part of that plot was the fact that it was the bitter message of you can't always have what you want, no matter how desperately you want it. And it was a good message to kids to learn to accept that but now it's kinda ruined.

@@Anna-hy4sb True but it negates that message of Chilli telling Bluey that you can't always get what you want. It was such a powerful message so to backtrack and be like ''Nvm, Brandy can have a baby if she wants'' just kind of ruins it.

In my opinion making Brandy pregnant was a bad idea. The whole point, of her original episode (Onesies) was that sometimes you can’t have what you want and that infertility is awful. I think they should have made her adopt, I don’t think that’s been done yet.

I think that I'm fine with Brandy being pregnant as it can help introduce to kids the idea that sometime people need help getting pregnant. However, I would also like to see a future story exploring adoption as well.

I have an idea for a fun video or a livestream you could do with Pugly: a “Bingo” card with predictions for the sign! They could be running gags you think could appear (“ah biscuits!”, Chilli stare, Muffin rage), characters who haven’t been confirmed to appear yet, theories (grandpa Bob, Frisky getting cold feet), or other fun little details (like a special intro, remix theme song playing at the dance scene), or any other fun ideas you might have for the Sign! Maybe you and Pugly could both put different things on the Bingo cards and after the episode premiers you could compare and see who got a Bingo! (Also come on! It’s Bingo!!!!)

As a child, one of my biggest dreams was getting a cartoon where the character grows up alongside you, the viewer. I might not be on par with the age now, (10 years lol) but man, am I glad I can see something like that now.

I've been using a crop of the album cover for my facebook profile pick for at least a year (I used to wear over-ear headphones when I was in college, for audiophile reasons, but where I work, some of the kids wear headphone-like soundproof earmuffs because they're noise sensitive).

I find it a nice detail how the VA for the characters are around the same ages and can grow and mature with the characters. It's a very nice detail and I respect the studio's decision to keep the children VA's anonymous.

I understand the confusing feelings around Brandy being pregnant. I was feeling a bit like that too, as i was looking at it through the lens of "well, that kinda takes away from her character and makes it feel like a cop-out". Although infertility is very complex. It doesn’t mean that you can NEVER have children, someone can be considered infertile and still get pregnant. My mom used IVF to have my sister as getting pregnant was difficult for her, she thought she was the only child she was going to have with my dad but then i came along 2 years later without any IVF. I know when we see a character and its introduced as one thing, we expect it to stay that way, and if it's changed, people feel like it has lost it's purpose. But we dont have to see Brandy that way, she still represents infertility, it's just that infertility is a very complex subject. We also have to remember that this is a kids show, so showing to kids how infertility doesn’t always equal = cant get pregnant, is important.

I was wondering if that was really Mort. He doesn't seem as grizzled as I'd expect. But if it is, what a relief! Could the Bluey voice be from "future Bluey?" Looking back at the wedding day? Theory: The "headphones" that Bluey is wearing are the noise-muffling headsets used by kids "in the spectrum." I've seen kids wearing these walking with parents in busy/noisy shops. Also wonder if this is going to be a "goodbye for now" episode.

Seeing the trailer(s) come out on the very day I got married has blown my mind. Well I’m more than excited for her that she’s actually getting what she wants biologically. I’m sure she’ll explain her story and it’ll be uplifting enough for people to feel better about it. I still believe the message in Onesies is still as strong as ever despite this happening. I’m hearing about women who deal with it feeling so happy for her too. Not everyone who struggles with what Brandy’s going through will feel that the message is undermined. Some will feel just as happy.

I have to ask because im not educated on dog breeds or anything, but isn't Lucky's family a mixed breed family? The mom is smaller and a lot fluffier, like a golden retriever, while Luckys dad looks like a yellow labrador. Im probably super wrong but that always confused me

I understand why so many are upset with how they’re doing Brandi, but my brother wasn’t supposed to be able to have kids, was told by all doctors he wouldn’t be able to, Last year he welcomed a healthy baby boy despite everything. I think it’s important that this is how they’re doing Brandis story, and that at the end of the day everyone’s different, and society has to stop being “Me me me”

It’s not Brandi talking to Bluey on the porch. It’s Calypso. Also, the Heelers aren’t going to move very far away, or maybe not even move at all. Bingo and Lela still graduated from the same school as depicted in Daddy Dropoff. So I don’t think the moving away theory is much of a worry.

Honestly as I’m getting to the age where I want to have kids and having fertility issues, seeing Brandy, a infertile woman, managing to get pregnant, along with being seemingly alone, gives me some hope I’ll have a child of my own one day. 😭. Even if its a little wishy, it is a show about talking dogs, it can give a little I guess.

As soon as I heard of my friends talking about the trailer I jumped straight to my phone to watch it

1:52 I do think it’s possible that Frisky might have gotten cold feet, but I also think it’s possible that the girls are reacting like this because Chilli said something along the lines of “there’s not enough room for all of you in the back, Bluey you can ride in the front” or “in the big girl seat”.

For some odd reason I thought that I heard that Frisky is pregnant when I read the title of this video wrong ( because you did post a few videos about theories of frisky possibly being pregnant) but when I saw that you pointed out that Brandy was pregnant in that table shot that’s when I caught on what’s really going on….. BRANDY IS PREGNANT!!!!!!!! I’M SO HAPPY FOR HER!!!!! I been seeing comments below saying that if brandy is pregnant than I defeats the purpose of the episode onesies But I see it as a journey to come from a hard place into a happy one Would it be pointless for me or for anyone to not stop trying if I had infertility issues??? ( I know that a lot of people see Brandy’s story as it’s not meant to be in your cards to be pregnant and you should turn to adoption but still) Why are some of you mad because of Brandy’s miracle? It probably is IVF but why is that a problem? Would it be better if she went for adoption because of the story in onesies? A door could feel or be closed but it doesn’t mean it couldn’t open in the future

New voice actor or not, I think Bluey’s voice change is really cool! It’s an awesome little detail, on purpose or not, showing that bluey is growing up and it’s really fun to think about Bluey growing up in between seasons!! :3

I think that the voices of bluey just grew up because I still hear a bit of the famous bluey voice

Bluey is externally for kids but internally there is a beautiful story and morale universally for everyone! and I will be tuning to watch a possible tear cheater this Saturday!

Am I the only one who finds it weird that nobody, outside of the flower crowns and bow ties, is dressed up for the Wedding. Maybe this is a typical thing in the Blueyverse, and only the bride and groom get dressed up because the day is about them. We have never seen any photos of guests at Bandit and Chilli’s wedding, so it could have just been them dressed up.

The Episode Puppet where they try to help Unicorse ask out Chili, Bandit shows a picture of their wedding when they reveal Bandit is Chili's husband. Edit: went back to that scene, I thought they had Bandit's mom in that picture but it was just his hand was just holding that picture

I really don't like that Brandy is pregnant...she was the representation for all those people who can't get pregnant and now oops, thrown out the window...it's true that some people can! They manage to get pregnant even though they have difficulties like Brandy, but not everyone... and it only hurts people bc we don't live in this magical world. bad move fr.

I don’t think it was magic. I’m pretty sure what happened is that she did IVF or something. If that is the case that means it doesn’t change the fact she’s infertile, because IVF is considered a treatment for infertility so it’s not a “miracle baby” but if they do go the “she got lucky and got pregnant” route id agree but I don’t think they’d do that or at least I hope not.

Brandi being pregnant isn’t really something I’m super excited about, but I think her being an intentionally single mother (i.e. got fertilization with no intention of marrying or getting into a relationship) that could be an interesting topic to explore. I just don’t want yet another “average” biological nuclear family tbh 😂
