The implications are huge in the flashback. It explains how the Quincy King got the left hand of he soul king, and presumably explains why he couldn’t use the Almighty in his first invasion of the soul society and died/got sealed away! So much info!!

I adore how outright evil they're making Ichive out to be. He was always sketchy, but the anime is making the leader of the "good guys" appear to be just much of a villain as Yhwach

I used to think ywhach hated his dad for allowing all this take place and form the current world, but now that he knows the truth of what happened, it’s nice to see him angry on his father’s behalf.

It is shocking how well Bleach has aged since it ended ten years ago and how stuff like this scene makes it age even better.

I enjoy how Bleach's lore is keeping us at the edge of our seats even years after the manga finished. Burn the witch, the original Gotei 13 and historical TYBW flashbacks.

As kid i always wanted zangetsu to be boss of bleach. After watching flashback i remembered my wish and i was happy that he looks like zangetsu in past ❤❤

Happy that we go that little bit about Ywach feeling every death, it definitely adds an extra layer to why he’s doing what he’s doing.

The idea of Yhwach using the Almighty to see into the future and using the knowledge he gains from it to teach his soldiers to create modern weaponry, is insanely cool.

I’ve come to appreciate Yhwach’s character even more now after the flashback. I always knew that he wasn’t a underwhelming boring villain. And just like you, I’m pretty much on team Yhwach as well. I give props to Kubo for adding this flashback proving Yhwach’s true motivation, his meeting with Ichibei and everything.

This revelation brings light onto Aizen's frame of mind as well. His speaking on the nature of courage while also having been tortured by a crushing loneliness gives him a similarly pained but clearer picture of why the life and death cycle leads to greater things because of the suffering, and not in spite of it. Absolutely wonderful.

Kubo has stated that yhwach had an elite guard back then, the schutzstaffel. This flashback shows one of them using advanced weaponry adding the fact that yhwach praised the OG Gotei 13 leads me to believe that the old battle of the two sides was far more spectacular than we thought.

That meeting really showed the depths of Quincy Shinigami diplomacy. Especially since it was essentially the top leaders of their respective faction. Makes you wonder how long and how extensive such relations were.

They should make a short film of The Quincy Extermination. They could use this to have enough time to develop the 2nd half of the TYBW and give their animators a breather. I don't mind seeing this all being done 5 years from now.
