    Best explanation on enginge break in. Very clear instructions and easy to understand. I would say if you love and really care for your bike. Go for the soft engine break-in method as there is lower risk to damage the engine. Ride under 5k Rpm for about 1500 km then gradually increase to 6k rpm with short acceleration up to 6.5k rpm for another 1000km. Change oil after every 1k km during engine break in period and don't use brake too hard unless there's an emergency. If air cooled engine don't let the engine heat too much for long rides. Take some break in between for engine to cool down.

    3rd free service tak Bajaj ka hi oil dalvana varna warranty void ho jaega. Uske baad Motul 7100 20W-50 daal sakte ho but service center walo batana mat. Agar warranty ka tension nahi lena hai to service center mein hi oil change karvate raho, Bajaj ka oil bhi bura nahi hai. Kuch service centers mein Motul daal kar dete hai. And the headlight is also producing unbelievable heat with only being turn on for few minutes

    As the engine is new, it produced more heat. It won't heat as much after 1st service. Talking about the headlamp, it has 55/60W halogen lamp, which is brighter and produces more heat compared to many less expensive bikes.

    I have one question for you? Have you ever noticed that colour of the engine oil turn dark and rise above the maximum level after some km of ride? If not check it out , I have noticed it many time but yes when the engine cools down the colour of the engine oil turns out normal. And for your concern people in abroad use dyno jet in order to complete engine break-in. One thing as you mentioned that the complete engine break in took on an average 10k km it's not true. And one can use fully synthetic engine oil even after 1000km on odo. NS is 80% of duke uses same world famous skf ball bearing, same water pump, same rocker arm etc and KTM use synthetic engine oil since its 1st service.

  • @samarthmodi188

    @samarthmodi188

    4 жыл бұрын

    I never noticed the rise in the level of engine oil. Instead, I always notice that the oil level decreases during rides and comes to normal after the engine is turned off. Never noticed the change in colour when engine is hot, But it might depend on the engine oil and I might have never used such oil. Yes, the oil becomes darker after some thousand kilometers, which is quite normal. Many researches and experiments showed that the "COMPLETE" engine break-in for petrol engine takes upto 10k km in motorcycles, 30k km in cars and for diesel engines it can take upto 80k km. Here, I am talking about the last 10-20% of break-in, which is not important for most of the buyers. Otherwise, the first 80-90% break-in takes around 1k-2k km, depending on the engine, in motorcycles. And in modern cars, it's not even needed, because after the manufacturing, they are tested upto that level that the engine is already "broken-in". But those last 20% are important for the best mileage & performance and smoother functioning of the engine. So the complete engine break-in does take 10k km. Please do your own research. And talking about KTM and NS200, of course you can use fully synthetic oil after first service, but it lengthens the break-in process by a fair margin. So it's a good idea to use the mineral oil, but no a compulsion. If you don't want it, you can also use the oil recommended by the manufacturer (the same is also mentioned in the video), which in the case of KTM, is a fully synthetic oil.

    @@samarthmodi188 you didn't understand my point. Even if you just warm the engine up engine oil level use to decrease as the whole oil circulates in engine. You need to ride your bike for few km like 10 to 12 and then park your motorcycle on center stand. You will notice whole engine oil turns blackish and rise above max level. This is normal because I read the reason behind it. It's the soot in the engine oil turns blackish while engine oil reach more than operating temperature. And about the break in method you talked maybe doesn't valid for todays modern engine. I spoke with a guy who use to work in Bajaj's chakan plant. What he said to me was mind boggling. He said when you purchase a motorcycle from the very showroom doesn't mean that motorcycle is just fitted with every necessary parts and came across to sell. The motorcycle already have tested on special track for few minutes. And they doesn't ride the motorcycle that easy. Though I appreciate the point you talked about i mean complete broken in

  • @samarthmodi188

    @samarthmodi188

    I never noticed the point you are talking about the oil. I need to check it. It's good to know that Bajaj tests the motorcycles after producing it. Possibly only high end motorcycles are tested on test track, but not all of the motorcycles on the road? Over 10 lakh 2-wheelers every month are sold in India on an average. Do you think all them are tested so hard on the track before sending to the dealers? And in this video, I am trying to cover all the 2-wheelers. Please don't get me wrong. I like to do such healthy discussions.

    @@samarthmodi188 I appreciate your insight bro. You can correct me as well. No Bajaj doesn't test their motorcycle like high end or you can say big bike manufacturing company does. Buy the mrf tyre ns because its grip is way more better than euro grip at least know some about the tyre before answering bro. Mrf has way more better grip life and grip on road than euro grip.

    Apne bike mein kiya hai. 35000 kms completed. Abhi bhi like new chal raha hai. No tapet sound, nothing changed. Tujhe follow nahi karna ho to mat kar. There is nothing misguiding here.
