We took our 5yr old to the brand new bike park in Sandwell - and it didn't disappoint!! It was a bit wet and a bit windy... but the trails still ran well and its sure easy to get air on these jumps!!
The 3rd table on the blue run is very easy to over jump... thanks to the fast run in to it... so those who are riding with little ones, or not so confident at jumping, be aware of this one!
All of the trails are 'rollable' - they can be ridden without having to make your wheels leave the ground. There are no drops, no gap jumps and no rock gardens. Sounds boring?! It's far from boring!!! With the 3 trails there are a few different lines you can take. For example - the blue can go along a set of small tables or you can ride some fun and fast berms if you stay to the left of the trail. Watch out for the rollers at the bottom... they're tight! Get ready to pump!!
The red has a step up if you stay to the left, or some extra tables and berms if you go right. And the black has a kicker if you stay left at the bottom - or a rather large table if you stay right.
Thanks to the guys at @TheHeadAngle for sharing their take on this new bike park - we watched it before going and it helped us to figure out which way to go and also gave us confidence to give the red and black runs a go.
