I have this build almost to the T but I feel like I’m still missing something. I’ve had my DOT tics as high as 92million but what’s the big hitting portion I’m missing where I’m not getting the 1bil plus tics?

What helm to use if you dont have Shako? Also wouldnt it better to run a wand and offhand you can put the one that deals shadow damage when using bone storm or maybe aspect of the void to suck in stuff. Also you will gain 15% lucky hit from the wand instead of useless life on kill.

My first ever build when Diablo 4 came out was a Shadow dot necro. After I get bored of my Sorv this season I'll probably go back to make a necro.

I've gone for the temper that has a % chnace to trigger blight twice. Hoping with ebonpiercer it can shoot 8 twice. Also went with rource generation when equipping a scythe, gives 17.5% generation alone.

I got 3 lvl 100 characters season 4 I found my first triple GA focus max life resource intelligence the item required level is 55 should I temper it or wait till I get a level 80

Can you make a build on Druid called like storm slide where it uses unique ring ? I’ve seen a few on yt but I think you making it will get the most potential

Good job. However, it's absurd that other classes are doing stuff like this and Druids are stuck with Shepherd's Aspect and doing 1/16th the damage. I hope they do a Necro type rework for Druids in the near future. Sooner rather than later.

isn't it awesome earth builds have fallen off a cliff meanwhile storm builds are stuck with shitty, boring, and lame companions w/zenith for any functionality in endgame. Like whatever happened to running Dire Werewolf Nado builds. They couldn't 1 shot bosses but hell it was a lot of fun and used a variety of skills.

How in the world do you solve for survivability with this build? Put 80 and if I don't kill them I'm super dead lmao. It has the damage but jeez. Unless I'm doing something terribly wrong

why not territorial instead of abyssal? arguably youd get more value out of increased damage to close, plus an additional stack of damage resistance

I got almost the same setup with 30k life just a heads up you will still be one shotted by the echoes even wioth bone storm at tier 100.

Where’s the cool down coming from besides shako. I notice the ult is coming down quite fast.

How about bloodless scream unique ? it gives 2.5x multiplier once the boss cc'ed. Golem can also give 30% DR

Some abilities have lucky chance% built in. Blight has 40% and your shotgunning 4 extra blight projectiles with the ebonpiercer. So that 40% may as well be 100%

Would xfals work ? Our dots have a chance to explode ? Maybe for clearing before bosses ?

What Pit level can you reach with holy bolt ?

Its nice that this build can keep up with minions, but it sadly seems a bit too gear dependant (needs high essence regen /ATKspeed) and it has less survivability since minions normally soak a lot of the dmg. You dont lose too much dmg by going for HP gems on a minion build as well.

If I don’t get the extra 24 paragon points from discovering stuff on the map, are they needed or can I do basically the same damage without them?

No that much because the actual damage is coming from Ebon Piercer projectiles when you cast Blight rather than Blight itself. Starless Skies will buff your Blight damage but no your Shadow damage coming from those Ebon Piercer projectiles.

You can get damage over time on a lot of other things, the ranks to blight are much better to have since it increases the base damage which in turn would increase the amount of dmg your other affixes are giving by a lot more

That's really badass! Any insight on breakpoints for IAS, if there are breakpoints for DoT that is? Weapon Temper "Chance for Blight to shoot twice" with the Ebonpiercer that needs to get fixed. Also the Wither node is still a little too steep, increments should be per each 50 INT. It's still impossible to hit "100% crit chance" with Shadow DoT. At least they changed it to INT instead of Willpower some time ago. All Paragon Boards need an overhaul on Blizzard's end, there's so much redundancy on minion nodes atm.

At 13mins in, Moxsy declare "dots don't crit". I mumbled WTH and rewound to hear it again. DOES THAT MEAN I SHOULD NOT temper or aspect to "crit or crit chance" LIKE I DID for my minion build (which began failing at NIGHTMARE 38 cuz of something??? SUCH THAT I am trying a variant of this at lvl 73; and it's working so far). AND any paragon crit-adjacent is worthless to the build, right?? VERY new to D4 and will accept correction and admonition, as well as solid advice.

Pretty much in a nutshell make sure you hit your max resistances 70% and your max armor 9230 and have defensive gear on your head chest and legs and then for damage make sure you have one goal and make everything buff that one goal. So if it’s golem damage that you are after than as many golems as you can add golem damage as many paragons as you can. If you can pick up summoner damage. And so on. Always find a way to make enemies vulnerable for the multiplier. Then grit for the multiplier. Try and find as much multiplicative damage as you can and stack it. Do some research and find what damage is multiplicative and what’s additive. That’s just a solid tip for the game in general. Cause I truly believe making your own build is the funnest part of Diablo.

I am presently on PIT 53, using Ebonpiercer, another unique that is a focus that multiples my Bone Storm x 3 rings, and switched from two-handed scythe to one-handed to increase attack speed. STILL don't have the Helmet from Duriel or the other Boss, and am presently collecting resources to re-try that gamble. But the Batman aspect (bats to evade) is working to offset as recommended by the site of the ORIGINAL creator. Spent a while checking @Si*** (forget how to spell his name) web page and determined what I had misunderstood, re-did Skills and making decent headway and, YES, HAVING FUN mixing up things to alt off the lack of the REQUIRED helmet. SO,again, thanks for your time and effort to respond.

Yes the manual use of corpse explosion in this build makes it so much work and takes a lot of effort to get used to - honestly this is why I kind of dropped this build for now. Unfortunately Sacrilegious ring is just too big a sacrifice to use.

Just drop one of the ring and run sac . That's what I did. Just swap rings for boss fight when you think you need a little more dmg.

So happy you presented a strong non minion build. The AI for minions is some of the worst I've seen since Wolcen. These special needs summons running around with that superhuman strength does not feel good.

My shadow minion build has 2400 intelligence so almost as much bonus to wither. I have minion attack speed way over the 100% most people stop at and mages have 96%chance to attack twice. Also using mendeln. I don't have a lot of time to grind pit but last night I finished 72 with about 8 minutes left.

How tf do you even get that much intelligence

D4 Devs: we dont want to make it so that you get jillions of damage in D4 and just faceroll. our builds wont need that. Also D4 devs:

I don't understand why people say that minion builds aren't active..."if you want a more active build". This isn't more active than a minion build. Playing any of the minion builds optimally has a ton of actions per minute.

Working for me so far. No issues aside from the occasional one shots from bossing, mostly, Pit 64 and counting atm. Didn't die once prior to 60. You can't tank straight without Bone Storm, just keep moving, Tendril packs and burn. It is fun, but defo squishy.

People need to stop using the term DPS if they don't know what it means.. DPS is your average damage per second during a period of time, not the highest you got your dot to tick during peak burst moments. (You're not the only one doing it, a lot of people seem to do it to bait clicks)

Incorrect. DPS stands for damage per second, not average damage per second. Average damage per second is Avg Dps. Since it sucks being wrong, I'm expecting a nonsensical response to this. (I won't respond again cause you are wrong and I have already made my point)

I'm glad you already know how it feels to be wrong, but if you are diligent you have a learning opportunity in front of you. DPS is by definition an average, because it measures the total amount of damage over a period of time to get to the damage per second, abbreviated to DPS. I'll use small numbers so it's easier for you to follow: if you do 10 damage over a period of 5 seconds, you take the damage value of 10, divide it by the time value in seconds which is 5 to get to the DPS value which is 2. Sorry to disappoint you, all I had was a sensical response instead, I guess you were wrong twice there. Let's see if you can be wrong 3 times in a row and post a reply anyways..
