Just some input from me. 46m power mage. Firstly, you need to use the red treasure dragon. It's mandatory, I'm assuming he doesn't have it if he isn't using it. Secondly, there are two ways you win a battle as mage. You either kill them within the first second of the match, before they get off any skill, or you must survive until your skills come off cooldown and get them the next time around since your skills come off cooldown before their Invincibility. Crimson Moonfall is a very strong skill because of how quickly it comes off cooldown. I personally don't even use clone in PvP. The damage is quite low and it just dies quickly without much impact. If your clone dies before your own invincibility wears off there's not much reason to use it, except to hope for double clone from scythe which is only slightly better as a mage. My skill crit is just under 90% using cloud mount. Star Array pushes it up to almost 100. Stun is sitting at about 30. Gear is all spell crit/ stun. My skills are Star Array, Crimson Moonfall, Blitz, Disarm and Easy Breasy. Pals are Fox, Turtle, Treasure Dragon, Deer and Sprite. You can remove Deer for Cat to help front load even more damage to one shot people before their Invincibility spell can go off, but it doesn't work on archers since they attack faster than you. For relics, I use the Abyss Necklace instead of the clone necklace since boosting clone is near useless to me. My tower is 3x Skill dmg 2x global atk. I'm not sure what is best there, but this seems to do fine. Sorry for the wall of text. That's just my experience. I think at a higher level, mage has to be played a bit differently. Thank you for the input. I agree that the right way to play mage is just like you are saying. It was simply interesting to me that you could, as an underdog, defeat overpowered enemies with a bit of luck and a long enough stun chain. But yeah you are right in basically everything you said.

No fiery tail on mage is criminal. Also clone is a good dmg soaker for mages especially with stuns from basic attacks.

​Depends. Like I said, against harder players your clone is just going to blow up. Against other players my level my clone barely lasts one second. I've stopped using it entirely in PvP. I get more use from extra CC and damage. I do still use it for PvE, although it's irrelevant because to push PvE you should just change classes if you arr actually serious, mage is terrible. ​@@stefanstewart9079

bro, can you list things needed to achieve that much skill crit rate, i'm pretty new in this game. Do i need a Cloud and skill crit rate soul gem to be able to play Mage?

Just a quick note 5:32 you mention the Flame book being the only one that you can benefit from in pvp and that's not entirely true, Stonewrit Tome is also not exclusively for Boss battles.
