NEW BASS! PETE HELPS FINISH HIS WARWICK STREAMER
Музыка
I finally own a high quality bass- a Warwick Streamer, made by the fine luthiers at Warwick in Markneukirchen, Germany. They even let me help to stain and sand the lacquer! For more info on Warwick:

Definitely, was surprised too. My room is messier than their factory lol
I was lucky enough to see it in person. Looking awesome, Pete!
Now here comes a great new series; "getting better with the bass" by Pete Thorn. Looks awesome and sounds delish!
Hahaha.. Barney Miller is to bass what Smoke on the Water is to guitar. Awesome.
So happy for Pete. He and Warwick make a great team. Now make him a Framus!
Next, the Suhr factory to custom stain one of your signature guitars.
So great to hear the the Barney Miller theme, Pete. It was one of the first things I figured out on my first bass, many years ago. My late Father loved that show and the face he made when I played it for him is a treasured memory. Big love from Manchester, England.
Pete, this is absolutely fascinating. It’s like watching your baby being born after a super long labour, just without all the screaming.
incredible, the neck thru body, everything about this bass, unbelievable !
I have a Rockbass Streamer (can't quite afford a German-made yet) and it's got that piano tone you talk about. It's my favorite bass. Love it.
You GOTTA love this dude. Humble guy and amazing player. Congratulations on your new bass, Pete!

I'm alway's amazed at the amount of pairs of hands it takes to make a boutique stringed instrument....Congratz Peter and Warwick for an incredibly stellar Bass guitar:)
Since i've got a Thumb i felt something special in Warwick sound, at now i own also a five string Corvette and i really love those basses. Yours looks a really good one and to be there during the built is something i'll never be lucky enough to experience. Happy for you!
Stunning bass. Good to see this craftmanship in Europe.
this kind of video brings a new level of appreciation of the amount of work that goes into any instrument.
Transforming wood and metal into an actual instrument is fantastical to me. What a gorgeous Bass. Enjoy it!!
Great choice with the P/Js and 4 strings. I 💓 heartily 💓 approve (not that ya need it from me ;)
Nice bass Pete....
What a beautiful instrument. I've always loved warwick basses.
An happy big little boy with its new toy!!
She's a beauty! Congratulations, Pete!
Barney Miller theme! I love the "don't f**k it up!" comment before beginning staining. That's almost equivalent to your advice before soloing, Pete, where you said to think to yourself "okay, don't suck!"
Lovely. I own a Sandberg 5 String bass guitar that makes my heart jump for joy when I play it. So I know what a unique instrument means to you. And I am a guitar player... you will have immeasurable fun, Pete.
Beautiful & nice choices you made on it pete !! :)
Pete- I own a guitar with a wenge neck. It’s the best feeling neck of all the traditional woods in my opinion. Absolutely no finish, oil, or anything. Absolutely amazing. Excited for you!
That's a beautiful looking bass.
Wow! That's a keeper! Congratulations Pete.🤗
Congratulations Pete!!
Absolutely gorgeous! Congrats Pete.
Looks great, I love the colour.
beautiful bass and a bit of sabbath in the background !!!!!
Killer Video Pete, looks awesome
That really is a beauty - and how awesome to be able to experience stages of it coming together.
Thanks for sharing Pete !
Wow! That's one hella sweet bass, man! I love it! Congrats!
Really nice Bass Pete, cool that you had a hand in making it.
Really nice choices for the finish, it looks (and sounds) great!
That's great Pete, you'll remember that experience every time you play it!

That bass LOOKS awesome dude!!! I really wanna play one!
Thanks for sharing this Pete! Nice work by Warwick crew!!
It is inspiring that you are your age and just getting your first proper bass. It makes me feel better about being in my mid twenties and just getting my first proper guitar. Cheers
This bass sounds fantastic! What a cool adventure.
The joy on your face....priceless! Félicitations.
I'm so happy for you. Watching and being intimately involved with the construction of your bass must have been a wonderful experience. Cheers!
That’s a stunning instrument, so interesting to see how it comes together. Thanks Pete
Love that Bass and the finish.... Smart move going with satin. Congrats Pete
Good choice Pete. I got a used 5-string Streamer a while ago for recording. Great instrument. Enjoy!
Congrats on the killer new bass Pete. Great color choice as well and I guess you could call it MerLow.
Brilliant.... and it looked like you had a blast, in chat. Very cool, Pete.
WOW PETE!!! I'm super happy for you and a bit jealous!! If anyone deserves something like this it's definitely you man, what an amazing end product. Appreciate you sharing the journey!

Pretty sick bass, Pete. Kind of cool to be a part of the building process a bit.
Haha, had to chuckle with the barney miller... yes im old too hahaha
Nice Pete! I spent 4 years at Roscoe Guitars in Greensboro, NC making custom basses. This brings back memories! The difference in tone between species of wood, and even different cuts of the same species was always something geek-out worthy. We would tap a peice of wood with our knuckle and know whether or not there was "magic" hidden within by the way it resonated. Love your channel! True inspiration! Stay awesome 👍!
man thats cool, hopefully one day ill be there to do the same!
Wow that came out beautiful dude!
This is an awesome video. I loved the gopro laquer camera shot and all the camera work for that matter. Love the new bass. Happy for you Pete

Kyle Benjamin thanks!
The two streamers I tried (one in Koeln, one in London) were 2 of the best instruments I've ever touched. Congrats on the amazing bass!
So cool, makes me really want a Warwick! Which I'm sure was part of the goal! Pete YOU KILLED IT on the color choices, that's a beauty! :D
Oh yeah that was too damn cool! Enjoy playing that for years Pete.

Man great video, the shot of the guy doing the paint job was awesome. The bass looks nice and the darker wood stripe in the middle 👌🏽👌🏽👌🏽. Enjoy it and looking forward for a demo.
What a nice bass! You were right about that 'piano' type tone, Pete. I also enjoyed your earlier video with Adam and Jayme... two great talents on the bass.
Yeah man! Great to see how a high end instrument is put together, real quality all the way. Best part was Pete playing Bass like a guitar player in the last minute! hahaha love it :-)
Beautiful
Beautiful instrument! And nice Barney Miller riff at the end.
Wow such a beautiful bass!!!! I found this whole video incredible interesting! Thank you so much for sharing your experiece 😊

Congrats, Pete! :)
Lucky you Pete!!
Pete, thank you for posting this video! Im mainly a guitar player also, and my only bass is a German made double buck Corvette, warwick makes some of the best basses on the market! Cheers man!
This was great fun to watch. That bass is stunning to look at. Looking forward to hear more how it sounds in future videos.. Congratz! I have a godin guitar with a similar active/passive system. Infinitely more useful on a bass than on a guitar when i think about it:)
Congratulations Pete!!!! Most of us only dream to get to be in your shoes. Can you demo this bass and show us how it work? I really love how the PJ basses sound. I will be buying one soon.
Wow,wow, wow, gorgeous instrument, sounds just like you stated, piano like. They should give you a matching guitar! Cheers!
Guitar💕💕💕l love
Beautiful bass Pete! I ordered an unfinished body and neck for a guitar built to my specs and I'm going to finish them myself too. Pretty nervous and hope I don't mess it up. lol
Have it washed and sent to my tent forthwith. Kongratzes on your new speedboat.
Sounds killer dude
Awesome bass! I was lucky enough to get one just like that last week, only difference is mine is nirvana black. I hope you’re enjoying it as much as I am. You’re so lucky to have been at the factory for the finishing. 👹👍🏼🎸
thats a sickk bass !!
5:04 - "Don't f**k it up" haha
Nice Choice
love it
🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤 Omg, I have the exact same tone lust for bass as you! That piano string tone, it's got such tight low end yet has sweet, glassy highs that cut through any mix. Man...I'm doing the 'primarily guitarist but multi instrumentalist recording original music' trip, and I might just want to get one of these. I hope your next video is about this bass! 🤜🔥💥🔥🤛
Beautiful and sounds great. Next time you get together with Phil, bring the bass and freak him out.
When the guy said "don't f-ck it up" I spit my drink a little bit.

Haha Marcus, so funny
That Bass riff you played is from the Barney Miller TV cop show from 1975 ! original is in F i think, fantastic looking and sounding bass in Canadian Red.
