New Balusters For The Deck

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

We wanted something a little nicer than the standard vertical balusters that most decks get.
So we decided on the Chippendale style balusters for the deck rails. We had the deck flooring and rails replaced and then I took on the task of building the balusters.
This is an ongoing project that I fit in between others so at some point it will get done. Once done we're going to pressure wash and paint the deck gray with white rails.

Thanks Kevin for the instruction - getting ready to try to make something like this. I was wondering why you chose to use both the table saw and chop saw - i.e. your chop saw is set up for the angle and it's just a flip right? I'm wondering if I'm missing something you did. I don't really like to use my table saw for cuts like this as I don't have jigs made.

The ends have different angles and some can't be cut on the chop saw without yet another jig. This was the easiest and most efficient way to cut the balisters.
