Your previous two guides for Awake Drak have helped me a lot, and I'm much looking forward to watching a new one with the PVE patches of the past little while!

Watching the skill effects from a cryfuuu video playing Dark Knight is what got me to try this game out in the first place. I've really been struggling to get myself to play recently but I used to have so much fun playing Awk DK way back when I first started messing around with the game. Thanks for the guide

Yeah my guides are typically designed for late game players looking to try out a different class. I’m not great with new player perspective honestly, so I don’t make guides aimed at them.

With the new class coming out next week, I probably won’t have time to work on a drak update during this tag event. I would check out Quendya’s channel for more recent Drak stuff.

You are talking about 2 different things. Rings have crit damage vs hp options, belt has AP vs Dr option. There isn’t a scenario where you choose between AP or crit damage…

Nothing has changed other than the Dr/eva/acc changes which means you can drop accuracy crystals for pve now.

You don’t need accuracy crystals or add ons anymore. Check the linked spreadsheet for those updates.

What buffs happened a few months ago? I am 99% sure there weren’t any buffs to dk since this was posted. Only recent change is dropping accuracy and Eva add ons after the Eva/acc/dr changes a couple weeks ago. That means you can drop accuracy crystals too. Latest rotations are in the linked spreadsheet but are still virtually the same.

That being said, I am going to do some updated videos, not because much changed but really it’s just good to update every 6 months or so to avoid confusion.

why is there +monster damage in the skill addons for giants? Is that if someone has low ap?

Correct, you end up with more add on “slots” than you need so for a lot of gearing scenarios you can run 30 monster AP add on which allows you to swap other things out of AP for something else. Like exquisite instead of cron meal, indignation elixir, deep sea instead of courage, or maybe it opens an extra crystal slot for you. Of course, at higher gear you’re going to hit the cap regardless but at that point you might consider moving on from giants anyway.

It’s a 12s duration on a skill that has a 7s CD and gets used every time it’s off CD. Shouldn’t be a problem to have 100% uptime on the 30 AP.
