Chuck Berry needs to be on the list of influential American artist. Chuck influenced Elvis, Beatles, Stones and so on. Now this does not mean I'm going to sit around and seriously listen to old origin of Rock and Roll Records however, Chuck is the Father of Rock & Roll.

Dolby Atmos can be amazing. Best so far is Julia on Beatles white album. You wouldn’t think it but it is.

Mike, on the Atmos. You don’t need a surround mix. Just get a stand alone decoder and run it in stereo mode. Atmos mixed down to stereo sounds very very good and close to vinyl (in my opinion). Atmos is not dynamic compressed like normal digital. The DOORS your favorite group sounds absolutely amazing in Atmos (stereo)

Sturgel Simpson glow in the dark on clearance. thats what I was stuck with on the mystery box sale a few years ago...

My First press Vertigo Black Sabbath doesn't even have a ding on the corner and its 54 years old. Sounds splendid too. Much more organic than the clean Rhino press. Guitars are louder and the drums have a more comfortable sound.

Atmos mixes are just a different hearing experience. I personally like it but because I’m hearing new things. The overheads are especially fun. But, while the sound is great, the mixes may decompose the artist’s original mix and intent.

That Nick Mason album is 🔥. I don’t know his other albums, but written by Carla Bley, sung by Robert Wyatt, with mostly great jazz players, in a Floydish/jazz type setting. What’s not to love? Check it out people. Make up your own mind on this one. Mike’s mostly right on taste, but I think he’s way off on this one, with all due respect

It was exclusively sold by Rhino, he really has no obligation to sell it for 'retail' price. He's running a business, he is guided by current market values when pricing non-retail titles.

Pink Floyd animals remix was good???? Goes to show it's all subjective.....I returned the vinyl but I did keep the CD as a novelty item. I prefer the original cut.

Colored vinyl the bane of my existence. Sonically inferior product produced for collector's and kids,not for listeners. It's unfortunate that it comprises 80% of the shit being pressed. Have record sales increased year after year after year? Yep and Colored wax has much to do with that. Doesn't mean it sounds good. *why? Black vinyl is made by adding carbon to the pvc. Colored vinyl is made by adding dye or multiple dyes to the pvc. The dyes alter the sonic characteristics of vinyl. Black records will be way of the do-do sooner than later,ffs.

Wouldn't virgin vinyl be better than black? The only thing that annoys me about coloured vinyl is that it's been way overdone, the whole "limited coured vinyl" thing is just a sales gimmick that needs to die asap. I bet you couldn't tell in a blind listening test between the coloured vinyl and black
