New API vs Old API Phosphate Test Kit
I'm comparing my existing PO4 test kit to the new one I just purchased. In the video I keep saying I am running out of the old test kit, I mean running out of reagents, not expired. API I hope you get to see this and whack someone if the QA department, you just lost me as a long time customer.

I'm glad your getting Salifert. API is garbage. Hanna would be even better. $50 I believe. But after that the reagents are not bad at all for it.

Being my normal cheap self and trying to be a reefer is not working out that well, got to let some go.
Thank you for this video i have a freshwater and need to test phosphates.. I had to stop using APi nitrates kit because it goes blood red , no matter how long you shake the bottles only 2 test that turns out is the ammonia and nitrites from the master kit will have to find Salifert phosphates

You're welcome. Shame really about API as they are sold everywhere and very cheap.

I know, I can't trust them again, which is a shame as they are so cheap.
I just recently got api phosphate test kit and expiration date is 7 2024 so it should be good but everything I test with it turns out way high I even tried rain water and distilled water both turn so black you can't see white light through them I even tried using a brand new test tube and distilled water test are the same. Have you seen this ? is it a defective test kit or what??

If it did that on distilled water it is defectively defective. I would highly recommend Salifert test kits. I no longer trust API.

I have the same problem with a phosphate test kit with the 7 2024
