New Antibiotics for the Treatment of Drug Resistant Gram Negative Infections
"New Antibiotics for the Treatment of Drug-Resistant Gram-negative Infections," presented by Scott Micek, Pharm.D., professor of pharmacy practice at University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy. At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
1. Describe the epidemiology and mechanisms of drug resistance among Gram-negative bacterial infections.
2. Compare and contrast antibiotic options for treating serious Gram-negative infections.
3. In the context of case scenarios, identify antibiotic options for difficult-to-treat Gram-negative bacterial
infections in hospitalized patients.
Recorded Sept. 21, 2020. Pharmacists wanting to obtain CE credit can register at uhsp.edu/ce to register and complete the post-assessment through 11/12/23.

Very nice overview. I appreciate your taking time to do this
Nice work
Sir which antibiotic will be for all betalactamses groups from A,B,C,D, and for porin loss, PBP alteration and efflux pump. Can be fluorinated carbapenems, use of pump inhibitors, use of bacterial Uracil inhibitors nucleotide. We must target now other bacterial organelles and pathways than cell wall, replication, ribosome, even use of charged particles. Than acid, base, oxidation reduction.
I have Citrobacter-freundii (intestinal). Who/where do I go for this treatment?
