Very excited!! Getting mine tomorrow for textbooks for college! Also streaming ofc and reading my books when I want to read in color as opposed to my kindle paperwhite.

My daughter has a 32GB Fire 10 HD 7th gen and it works like the first day, even with the Google services that I put on it. I put the original fat case from Amazon for children and it is like new, after 3 years of use and abuse!. Now I bought the Fire HD 8 32Gb 2022 for myself, for multimedia content and to be able to take it outside, for €70 it was impossible not to buy it. Great video, subscribed and you have my like.

I just bought one because of this review. It was delivered 6 hours after I ordered it and it's pretty great for $60 on sale. After customizing some things and basically turning it into an Android tablet, I love it. It's not super fast, but it gets the job done for browsing, watching videos and playing games like Minecraft. The screen isn't amazing, but it looks good enough. All in all a great purchase so far!

Just subscribed!! I am an upgrade addict and have several older units sitting around because can’t stop wanting the most current. Your review really blew me away as you were easy to listen to, direct about value and features. I will wait now to buy

Thanks for watching! I like new stuff, too! I just think if you already have the 2020, besides the weigh and a LITTLE better performance, you really aren't seeing anything worth shelling out more money for.

Yep, this one does not appear to be a differentiating upgrade. I was looking that the 8 PLUS which also does not seem to be a decent upgrade. Web browsing doesn't look any faster than my 2017 HD 10. ONE missing feature seems to be the screen off/on when using a magnetic cover. At least that is what I read when looking at the HD 8 Plus 2022 reviews on Amazon. Not that many reviews at all(less than a 100) but one guy noted he tried many different covers and after many go arounds with support, found out they removed it. From Michael Lloyd: " My impression is that the newer unit is not worth the money over the previous generation. The main changes are a faster processor and slightly increased battery life, none of which are apparent in every-day use. I returned my first 2022 unit since it would not sleep/wake with the cover as promised. I tried two different covers with the same result. My 2020 unit does sleep/wake with the cover, so online support thought it was a hardware fault and replaced the 2022 unit. The replacement still does not sleep/wake even with the cover designed specifically for the 2022 unit." From In Arizona: "Have purchased three covers trying to get the cover to turn the Kindle off and on. Turns out this feature was removed. Downright stupid. "

It's cyber Monday and for $64 I'm buying the brand new 2022 8" Fire plus with the wireless charging. I might even bundle and get the wireless charging dock for a total of $104.00! WOOHOO! 🙌 Now I need to make sure I can get the Google Play Store and Chrome downloaded! Hopefully I'm in the right place! Also looking forward to using the Alexa show me feature. Yup we're going into 2023 and it's time for me to come on out from under my rock! ✌🏼😊

How come it doesn’t have basic apps like canva and when I try to go in the web i have to download chrome or something

Just ordered one as my ipad broke and didn’t want to pay £350 just to watch netflix and prime. Paid £41 in the sale.

@@hyphinx don’t get me wrong, i’ll probably end up with another ipad. The Fire tablet is a bit clunky to use.

The 2020 version (HD 8) is slower, fuzzier, color is off, and the themes for the screen are all larger so you don't see the whole picture. There is such a huge difference compared to the 2022 HD 8 plus. The only problem I have is they have not made a rugged case with screen protector and hand strap for the 2022 versions. But I paid about $100 for both of them.

It's great but I'm having an issue with apps constantly refreshing when switching apps. Is there a fix for this 🤔

The battery on my 2020 Fire 8 was getting a bit tired. With the 2022 on sale, and with a trade in, I got the 2022 (in 2024) for $27, far cheaper than a battery replacement.

My 2017 hd8 is getting a little long in the tooth but is still functional. Debating between getting a new HD8 or the HD10 Plus which is also on sale

I just ordered the 8 in kids for $80 but got a lot in trade in value. My daughter had a 2019 and it could no longer hold a wifi connection

Hey man. One of the bezels located on the screen of my tablet looks a little bit bigger than the others. Would that be normal due to the low cost of the tablet? For me, it doesn't represent a big issue but I noticed and wanted to check it with you. Thank you!

I don't think it would be too slow. Certainly not compared to other devices in the price range!

I ordered the "Amazon Fire HD 10 Plus" model. (4GB of ram) I can't wait to use it for movies and the Kindle app. I also ordered the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition. So I will now get the full fat Kindle experience. A color display for comics and such and audio books. And a high quality E-Ink display for reading books. 📚 I certainly won't be bored on those long winter nights now. LOL! 😅 And as a bonus I plan on getting the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra when it comes out. I'll put the Kindle app on that too just for fun. So that will give me some pen capabilities like the Amazon Scribe has. But more with Samsung apps and in app highlight capabilities. 🙂

I just bought the Fire tab 7 2022 i got it 2 days ago and i really enjoy it, i got out of the tablet world years ago ( i had iPad and Android tablet) i really wasn't using them,but im now watching alot more contents and such and i fell in love with prime video and prime music i also watch a shit ton of video on YT, the price of the tablet are just right and the fire tab are just better than sometime pricier off brand tablets like the waltmart ONNand such, there is some downside tho, there is no built in GPS on these wich is sad bc i was planing to use it in the car as a music player and navigation i thought i could use my phone as a wifi hot spot so i could use my phone location but it does network that way, i also install google play store but the tablet had an overnightupdate and screwed everything, a built in GPS would be so great on the next generation

Samsung devices are way better than these slow AF Amazon devices. Get ready to watch the Amazon app force close during regular searches. Don't listen to this reviewer. Even with upgraded processor and 3gb ram, it's not worth it.

I am using one of them right now. They are certainly not better. They are lagging like crazy. I've never had a problem with the Amazon app force quitting.
