Are you pleased with the 15x zoom in this camera?

Yes I am. If you check out the 18:35 mark of this video (my latest) you’ll see an example of it’s zoom in low light as well. Now with that said, if you were doing strictly low light recording most of the time, or need long zoom wildlife videography, a full-frame option with detachability of longer lens options may be the way to go. Remember too, this vid was done on MP4 8 bit and exported as 1080 so there is a bit more clarity to go with this XF605. I love it. It’s easy to use and is a dedicated video camera. My other option was a full frame R5-C, but those were sold out.

@@WunKoolKat Thanks for responding. At 18:35, it looks like you were utilizing the 30x zoom in 1080p because I can’t imagine 15x zoom reaching that far. Can you confirm?

No, it was the 15x as I record in 4K which spans I believe a 35mm equivalent of 25-382mm. That dome was 0.237 miles from where I was. That’s approximately 417 yards. The wide angle at full return to wide makes it appear like it’s farther away.
