Welcome to my Lockdown Video to New Age.
This track was recorded in Wapping London at Elephant 24 track recording Studios in 1987 after I'd just signed to Virgin Music as a songwriter.
It's a bit of a curio that has been gathering dust under my bed, in an old shoe box in the form of a DAT tape and never once played for over 20 years.
I have put this together out of sheer frustration living two floors up without a garden through the lockdown and I guessed as the local Smithfield Market is a ghost town at the weekends anyway we'd have the place to ourselves and I was right, thus the video.
I have no idea why I wrote those New Age lyrics at the time but they seem to resonate with certain aspects of the turmoil ringing true today.

Love this song, very catchy and instantly likeable. It’s obviously taken on a new significance than when you originally wrote it. I didn’t realise you had such a good singing voice, as well as being a cracking songwriter and guitarist. The video is good too.
