I felt the same way but the band I choose was Aerosmith, the original ADG being "dream on" shooting them to superstar status, and the new release ADG EDP is like a greatest hits album.

This will go down as one of the greatest ever

Profumo has always been superior and being a pure Parfum it lasts all day.

Definitely try on skin. I sold my Profondo smelt synthetic, Profondo lights too simple, this is really good! The opening is divine and the dry down has a soapy clean dry down. This and Profumo are the best for me in this line!

Great middle of the road. Less aquatic bright as profondo and not quite as dark earthy as Profumo. I can see this being my go to ADG with profondo for hotter Beach type days and Profumo for warm nights

Loved OG 2 decades ago..Profumo is great...not sure I need another ADG but sure its good.

Just got this today at Macys!! Will get the best out of its summer performance at least the next month and a half, but it should hold on well in the winter, something about ADG (and even Armani in general) they all smell good in winter no matter what. I’ve worn Wanted by Night by Azzaro in this past summer (evenings) and it holds up well

Mmh. I tried profondo and the EDP side by side and the EDP smelled not to too great on me. Profondo was soooo much better. The EDP goes in the same direction as h24 but don't smell similar. Need to try them again. If you want compliments try the absolu or profondo.

I sent mine back I love aqua di gio. But this new one w not for me. Had a really metallic skunk smell to it. Just for Profumo love it

Great review hope to be a better version regarding performance from the edt specially in versatility and longevity but over all not one bit like essenza, coz essenza smells like FISH and not ordinary fish but rotten fish …just an opinion . Thanks for great effort and realistic review as usual really grateful

This one reminds me a bit of H24 by Hermes, great scent but the performance could be better.

Thats interesting that you say this may be your thing if Profumo wasn't. I sold a 4.2 of Profumo as soon as i got it, BUT that was a year ago. I think i am going to try this EDP variation 🤔. G

can confirm it doesn''t.. 2-3 hours longetivity with barely any sillage.

So just went to post office and picked up my bottle of Acqua Di Gio EDP. Not a fan of the bottle cap as it feels kind of cheap and brittle. Sprayed out two shots and not sure what to think yet. Definitely not an amp'd up version of the EDT. Not really getting the marine notes in it and not much citrus. Can really detect the geranium and woodiness from the vetiver and patchouli. This is my initial take and will have to see how it goes and what its like in hotter weather as it is cold and rainy right now.

I think this is the best flanker in the ADG line. But everyone’s smell is different. Profondo was just to strong for me.

I do profundo on cooler summer day. High 70s-mid 80s. Then I do profondo lights in the HOTTER weather. Idk why but I feel like the profondo lights dries down BEAUTIFULLY in the high heat

Cord goes all the way down to the bottom. At the beginning you can only see the part of the cord without fragrance pumped in.

You can buy it from SweetCare But shipping is not free bc they have to ship it to the US if you live there. It will also take several weeks bc of foreign shipping

It goes all the way down. If you pause around the 2:56 mark you can see it.

Trends: With Acqua di Gio Eau De Parfum being so instantly definitive, it is now _totally_ prerequisite to trends. Trends today stipulate that each house _must_ have an Eau de Parfum in each line or face discontinuation through the extinction of that line in the fragrance race. This, it appears, regardless of comparisons.

I agree with John Campbell. I have both Profondo and the new EDP and there are some differences for sure and both are worth buying. I am not a big fan of Profumo but I love ADG Absolu as well.

It smells like rexona sports man deo, i dont knoe how, but its same.vibe

i was excited for this until i saw it contains benzyl benzoate. apparently, i am allergic to that ingredient as i learned from profondo. ended up with hives on my arms and tried to power through it, until the hives ended up on my face. haven't had that problem since avoiding that ingredient. i may try again but why can't they just find another ingredient to use? all the new ADG have it and it's killing me!

I had the same thing happen when I sprayed it on my neck and wrists. I kept thinking someone was smoking weed around me about 10 minutes in and I realized it was me that stank of weed. So weird.

No, Profondo is better in every way

Essenza was their first EDP released in 2012. Then came Profumo in 2015 which is a pure Parfum.

It’s the lightning. The visible part of the tube is air. The rest of the tube has liquid in it so it appears invisible. Newly purchased fragrances usually have this

I will not buy two Acqua DI GIO I will say go for profundo or profumo

ADG is like a restaurant that absolutely killed it for years and years, after a while, it started relying on its name and reputation, and stopped giving a crap about the details that made them great in the first place. That is a EDP, Armani had 20 years to make a sick updated version of this and came out with a fishy, unsmoked weed smelling fragrance that does not perform. Absolute disaster. Im very picky but still, I really regret spending 130 on this crap.

This one is a bit bubble-gummy for me. Profondo lights and Profumo are my choice.

Essenza is edp, profumo is edp, absolu is edp, profundo, this is not the first edp
