When completed, the wife and i are traveling to Japan to be one of the few americans to experience real highspeed bullet technology. The cho Shinkansen is a maglev train that runs on magnetic levitation and can reach speeds of up to 375 mph. If you think Amtrak is great, your jaw will drop when you see this.. Highspeed bullet trains and maglev super train technology, the new american dream....

Will the MBTA PLEASE invest in direct PANTOGRAPH and CATENARY for its purple suburban lines?! Metro North has done so, NJT has done so, SEPTA has done so, and MARC has also done so, WHY NOT the MBTA? Battery locomotives are DISPROVEN and UNRELAIBLE!There seems to be some pantograph, and catenary (or third rail) going on here! PLEASE GET WITH IT! Thank you.

  • @AmtrakAcelaProductions

i think the main reason for not currently having them is locomotives that can only be used between Boston and providence and not having the proper maintenance shops, the extension to Wickford junction does not have centenary over the extra sidings for the t and the Stoughton branch also does not currently have wires, they are suppose to get some if the T and state ever precedes with part 2 of the south coast rail project. i think the mbta should have purchased units similar to the ones NJT had but the battery idea seems to be the more "future" idea.
