enjoyed your thoughts on the bike design. I agree, I ride my Surron for trail/road/commute, as you said, the front forks don't seem like they can handle a motocross jump.

I’ll keep using my mx4 for trails and enduro and the gas dirtbike for the track

So the MX4 is lighter, better suspension, just as powerful, and imo looks way better AND is 500$ cheaper.. I think i made the right choice getting an mx4

No the 72 volt is way stronger the new 9500w goes 54mph and suspension on a talaria is like a mountain bike suspension

Great video and a cool bike. Ive been riding motocross since I was 5 and would hands down prefer a modded mx4 or modded sur ron light bee over this. Just the overall design with not the best suspension and the fact it has no dedicated rear suspension linkage which is an absolute MUST for any real motocross-oriented bike, this makes it a massive dealbreaker for anyone serious about jumping. I've jumped my light bee over 65 feet but would never feel comfortable doing that on this bike over a mx3/mx4 or sur ron

Totally agree about the position of the seat bump, sliding forward into it, you feel like you are out in front of the front wheel, not over it. Never once had an issue with the motor bolts or subframe and I ride in sneakers, not boots. I am just cruising small neighborhood trails, not trying to race it. Mine is the 60v gen 2 version, and it's truly awful how just how inaccurate the speedo and range are compared to the marketing stats. I never got the impression from the marketing that this is meant to be a track bike, or anything different than the other small e-motos, it's just a different look and feel than the others. 18-20 mile range at the top end, when mashing in sport mode the whole time, and my phone gps speedo put top speed at like 38. And you have a massive drop in power when you reach 30% battery life, so it's only really fun and engaging for about half your ride. I personally really like the look of the integrated headlight vs bikes with the "strap on". And I also like the robust subframe. I definitely like that you can swap the battery to the new 72v without issues with the controller, but you can't use the external charging port or the 60v charger (from what I have heard). Overall, it's a solid option if you find one new for under $4k (like I did), but at the msrp of $5k, it's probably not the most compelling option.

Surron have an app you can do things with for the ultra bees? And im pretty sure you can use the new lbx’s with the app aswell?

All the specs aside, when form over function is the question, I will pick a talaria sting or surron over the mantis all day long! It is just an ugly bike! Exceptional review guys! Keep up the good work!

AAA review, thanks for the efforts. I agree with your assessment. Talaria needs 72v with the same form factor. The ultimate ebike is already here, 2023 Stark Varg, but price at 13k. lol

Yea just spray it with a hose and wipe it down with soap and a rag. Then dry it off with a towel

That bump is in such an odd position looks unridable (at least comfortably) plus that suspension bottomed out at every little hump looks pretty good other than that

That’s a tall order. I’m not sure of any e-moto that could do that sort of range. I would look into some pedal assist bikes. Some of them can go really far

I see... I really dislike pedals.. I want something as close as possible to a dirt bike or supermoto, but electric like the Talaria xxx... but I am ok to carry an extra battery if it can be connected to the bike on some rails or similar? what do you think is it too heavy to carry an extra battery on the bike?@@Talariaboys

We use a little 2000watt gas generator and can charge 2 bikes at once on it when camping.

@@Talariaboys so you have an electric dirtbike but you need gas to charge it 🤦‍♂️ idk hopefully in the future these batteries and tech will get to where they last a whole day 👍 or maybe have extra battery packs like my rc losi promoto mx i just picked up😁

50mph is slow for a 72v. they are slacking. Not saying people should be going much faster but 50mph isnt much to talk about when a 2019 surron LBX can nearly do the same thing on a 60v stock battery.

Yes. 2 bolts on each side. They have discussed making a full frame piece or welding the frames together where the bolts are. We will have to see what they do in the future

The frame has a lot of engineering work behind it in order for it to work the way that it does. The Main frame Z's are 2 pieces that are interlocked together and then welded. The two bolts are for aesthetic. Super complex chassis design that looks simple on the outside, but how everything goes together allows it all to work. It's good to show that they are thinking and working outside of the box, not easy to innovate!

Almost gave up ( insert alcohol / meth / crack cocane reference here ) after watching a video not blowing sunshine up the ass of the guys who paid for your trip . But I'd buy one ... Gunna do something un - Australian and subscribe too , well done sirs !

Great video guys! Seems like Rawrr will be worth keeping an eye on in the future as they continue to innovate and improve. Quick question, would you guys recommend the Sting R or surron Ultrabee for me where I'd likely be riding 85% desert trail use, 15% mixed street/urban use?

There’s nothing like the ultra bee! on desert trails it would be so much fun. If your not worried about looking like a dirt bike on the street I would get the ultra bee.

I have aquestion for you guys, not related to this video, but you are my go-to for anything Talaria related. First of all, nice video, this bike looks sick. Im wondering, on my Talaria Sting R Mx4, how much torque does the rear wheel axle nut need, how do i know what torque my power torque wrench has? Im just scared im either screwing the nut back too tight and ill damage it or not enough and its unsafe. Any advice is greatly appreciated, recently had to deal with changing my first flat, was not easy but its done now, im just worried about the axle nut bolt.

Sorry for such a slow reply, we have been trying to catch up on so many comments! We don't know the torque spec but just tighten it pretty tight and we haven't ever had one come loose.

The rear suspension looks to be mediocre. The bump in the seat looks so touring bike, jus no!

The Mantis looks goofy.

stupid design, no swing arm linkage , heavy, poor forks... you will die on the tracks
