I would buy one with a V8 and all wheel drive. The EV market is growing for sure, and I’m excited for it. They need to get better with the charging grids and charging times.

By 2025 the charging grid and charging times will be there. 350kw charging suggests a charging time in as little as for 14 minutes for an 80kwh battery. 800-1000kw charging is on it's way for the most advanced EV's

It takes nine years for an EV to be greener than a petrol or diesel car! Coal-fired power plants and diesel generators provide that "green" energy! You let your mindless pan fill up with nonsense, and still believe in it! In 1910 there was an electric car that drove 1000 miles on a single charge. I understand that the speed was much lower back then and it wasn't about the horsepower, but the 1000 miles were there, and with a lot less batteries on board. There were even electric vehicles that could charge themselves!

One correction about your "Corvette was always the American answer to the exotic and foreign supercar market" statement. The Corvette was conceived and inspired by small European sport grand touring cars: it's been America's answer to European GTs for 90% of its production. GM looked at the small Fiat, Lotus', Ferrari and other brand small lightweight sport GT car as the reference. That's why the C1 Corvette was light, but didn't have massive HP... it was about a sporty drive instead of shredding track times (that came later). It wasn't until the C6 Z06 that the term "American supercar" was seriously mentioned by the foreign press. Even the early 90s C4 ZR1 was too much of a sleeper to be considered a supercar. The first serious effort by GM to make Corvette a world worthy supercar were the C7 Z06 and ZR1. Before that, they just wanted to make the best American GT they could.

After the 911 Dakar and Huracan Sterratto were announced, I thought what an offroad C8 would look like, and your render is excellent.

I love these type of vids u do, all your future what if concepts look amazing. I'd definitely buy one but only if it had a engine, just not ready for ev just yet.

I'd like to see an SUV with aggressive Corvette styling, Corvette-worthy handling, and carbon-fueled exhaust note, ideally with AWD, 4WS, and torque vectoring, but with a 6L V8 up front, it's probably going to be EXPENSIVE. Maybe a 2+2 or a sedan (I can hear the cringes and groans already). If BEV, 800-900V would allow fast charging and torguey launches ...

I am an old motorhead. This thing looks real cool. If it uses the handling technology of a Corvette in a body that is usable and looks real cool that it does than absolutely it will work and well.

I am 100% interested. It's perfect for a daily around town. Price is the biggest factor on if I buy one or not.

Definitely. I just sold my C-6 100 Year Anniversary and picked up an E-Hybrid Porsche Cayenne S Platinum. The Crossover Ultra SUV's have become Americas favorite, and for good reason. Practicality, year around usage, power on demand with excellent comfort and great handling. Had there been a Corvette SUV on the market when I bought my Cayenne S, Id have bought it for sure. Corvette has a great new market untapped yet.

Yes I’d get one, I recently have had back issues that get worse getting in and out of lower smaller sports cars. An suv like this would be great for me to keep something sporty and fun.

Yes I would. The enthusiast continue to think our opinions and disagreements matter. We said it about 4cyl Camaros and Mustangs, we lost that one. We complained about the Blazer (I hate it), and we lost. Mustang EV, 4cyl Bronco, Integra, loss of manuals etc etc etc. While our voice is there, we are the minority. Manufacturers showed where they stand when Mercia stoped making cars and went to SUVs. They know what’s sells and the masses are enthusiasts.

The Macan is on my list so I'd think hard about buying one of these as a daily if they did a decent job and it seemed like it might be reliable. Many new electrified powertrains have loads of reliability issues. I love the packaging concept though.

Makes sense we Americans love SUVs and trucks because they are much better daily drivers and overall way more practical than a coupe or a sedan. They have more room more storage capacity and for the most part can drive on any terrain (if AWD) with proper tires.

I'd have to make tons and tons of money to ever actually buy one. That being said "yes" I would want one.

Porsche understood that two door cars are cool and if you can afford it as a side car/weekend car great. For most people, practicality is king. You want a car that’s sporty, doesn’t make you look like your old, fast and you can put the kids in the back. People aren’t single with no kids forever!

That’s fine, but Porsche doesn’t say, “Here’s the Porsche 911 Twin Turbo SUV.” They have their own lines: they are the cayenne and the macan. They know that the 911 driver isn’t the one that’s looking for an SUV. A corvette SUV is GM’s own loss of understanding of what a corvette is.

If they took the twin turbo v6 and put it in there I think it would be a hit! 460 hp in that thing would be a blast. Modern typhoon. Not sure how I would feel about the EV. With charging taking so long it’s hard to go on trips more than 100 miles.

I see why you'd say that, but not really. My Cayenne has E-Charging and regenerative braking. It can recharge the battery while driving. It constantly captures energy, and feeds the battery and uses the battery when optimal. Theres also the charging stations which I dont use. I just recharge as I drive.

so you want a 4 door suv with a v6 and call it a corvette? they literally have a v8 with 490hp+ in the stingray and you want a v6 with less power? do you even like corvettes?

I think it looks awesome. Depending on hp and performance is what I would decide my buying decision.

(Like my wife) she says “why can’t u get a SUV with better space and 4 seated than sports car” but don’t want a SUV because she got one. Now I could tell I will get a SUV!💯. This will take over Lamborghini SUV. Corvette Z06 package already killing other super cars💯. Looks sexy as hell and damn tires👀💯. I have 2 trucks lightning and saleen with 700hp and I would trade my both truck for this SUV!💯

Well the rendering is awesome, It would be a corvette with 4 seats. Maybe some half suicide doors in the rear would make it easier for kids to climb in. Even the purosangue was rendered with 2 doors and came out with 4. It’s a lot more practical that way.

A 700+hp Corvette EV SUV would be awesome!

you think you'll get the corvette experience just because they slapped a corvette badge? get an explorer st and a hellcat durango if you want a sporty suv for cheap. or better yet just get a chevy blazer or something. don't support them ruining a legendary name plate because they wanna milk the nameplate

As a die hard Jaguar owner and never expecting an SUV in their lineup, they went that route as well with the F-Pace and I-Pace, so why not Corvette? And yes it would probably be electric and yes it will probably sell like hot cakes! SUV's are the most popular style on the road and concept styling and expected performance from something like this should also help. Hopefully driving range and pricing is realistic. As to buying one... If I was in the SUV market I would definitely consider it, but still staying with the XK for now. Have to admit it is more stylish in this configuration than the Jaguar version. Reminds me a lot of the Lamborghini.

That rendering looks amazing, and that’s coming from someone who thinks the Mach E doesn’t deserve the Mustang badge (nice vehicle, just not deserving of the Mustang name).

I'd get it if it was a hybrid. if they are insistent on making electric a must-have option. God, I hope GM sees this and of course, I'd have to have the money to afford it first of all

I would buy it if it came with a V8 I may even buy it if it came configured like Koenigseggs do as a hybrid with a powerful motor and an electric motor assist for added torque and horsepower. If it's going to look anything like that photo it's going to be direct competition for the Lamborghini Urus. PLEASE Corvette...do not stray far from that concept image for the sake of us all...that concept looks incredible.

I'd absolutely buy one if it beats the Plaid !

Given that the photos on Motor Trend are a combination of the C8 Z06 and the current Chevy Blazer it does look interesting (photo #6 was my favorite). However, I would prefer to know the overall performance specs, and the price before I made a final decision. Still, given that I own a Blazer and a C7 Z51 Stingray, if a Corvette SUV ("ZUV") came on the market, I more than likely would. Corvettes all the way for my garage. :D

First, I am not an SUV fan. Second. But I admit that Lamborghini SUV looks fantastic. It is too expensive for me. If goldish color Corvette, would the actual model Chevrolet build, I would consider getting it. It has to be a wild, exotic "Wow" exterior design like a computer generated goldish color one. I would def. consider! I drive a 2021 AMG 43 SUV. Had an Audi SQ5. Love the performance SUV/Coupe segment. GM needs to get on board. A gasoline/hybrid option is a must. I want fast, efficient, convenient, long range driving. EV infrastructure is not there yet even if the vehicles are.

To partially coin a Chevy phrase - "in a heartbeat" - I have 2008 C6 and love it but getting up in age- retiring soon and some serious physical back issues (it is getting harder to get in and out of my beloved Jet Stream Blue Vette ) - plus we have 36 solar panels on top of our house that generates more electric than we need today by about 30%. Retiring in 2 years - we had planned to buy an SUV/EV and take long roads trips - now I see this and its like perfect - easier in/out - EV - and styling and performance of a Corvette - count me in

When I first seen this, I fell in love. I told my wife that I’ll be selling a couple of my classic trucks to try to get one if it looked like that picture. But then watching this and hearing that’s gonna be electric I was extremely let down. if that truck looks anything like that picture and doesn’t have a deep V-8 exhaust noise coming out the back I definitely wouldn’t buy one. I’m just not sold on the electric stuff yet. I know they are fast and I don’t hate them but not for me yet.

The corvette already branded itself amazingly well. That's what you want when choosing a car of status and presentation. If I had a million dollars which honestly I do not have a million dollars to spend on cars, the cars I've chosen are a 1995 chevy G20 van, a 1969 Camaro pro touring and a yacht, anything from a sea ray 450 to a 580 sundancer. If not a yacht, the same funds would be for either a rolls Royce Cullinan, or a Lamborghini urus, as those are the only cars I can find that properly represent a healthy successful bachelor. Range rover, BMW or Mercedes cannot do that. They have plastics inside, technology, but are not actually luxury. Just fancy and or fast. Hyper cars are status representors that can exceed a million dollars but are not functional enough to be driven on a daily basis to represent that status, which is why I love Koenigsegg as they are breaking those molds one by one granted without sparing any expenses in the process. The Cadillac black wing is probably the only other car that may not have to cost so much to obtain a status inspired ride. Which is perfect comparison when you think of the escolade v but it's not a black wing. I can't say if that's what anyone else was expecting because to me it was not. Escolade-v has been missing in action since NFS underground 2, 2004. I'm happy to see it updated after 18 years. I was never expecting an escolade black wing and I would still buy it just for being the biggest 680hp SUV with independent rear suspension on the market. Trust me it's doing it's job. Corvette has always been striving for treasure status in supercar ranking. This latest z06 is mind blowing because it's cheap fast high tech looks good, and it's a chevy. Chevy means it's functional. This will not be a suburban SS. when you say corvette SUV, it means a $65,000 all american urus that would make every other car brand sit down, and why would it not want to compete with urus if it's already killing Lamborghinis, (normally aspirated) porsches, dodge demons, and AWD BMWs? If they pulled it off it would be the buy of the century.

This rendering looks BA! I would want 4 doors in an SUV. I'm not ready for full EV so for me a hybrid version would be great I'd like the EV portion to be used independently so I could be stealth in the morning and then switch it to performance for AWD acceleration. I'm not a designer so I don't really know how the packaging would go with FR configuration. I certainly don't want FWD engine and two RWD motors but if that's what will make this work well, then I'll live with that.

I'm old skool and love my Vetts. This concept I believe will sell to middle-aged women who wants more room and advanced driving. I also will give this to college students who commute from school to home. Myself? Probably not. Not that I don't like it. I would drive the tires off it, but I would rather have a Stingray
