More Performance: 2.0 TFSI with 333 HP
With 245 kW (333 HP) and 420 Nm of torque, the S3 is stronger than ever before. For the product enhancement, the 2.0 TFSI engine receives a power increase of 23 HP and an additional 20 Newton meters of torque. The result is superior pulling power and powerful acceleration. The S3 sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.7 seconds. The maximum torque is available over a wide range of engine speeds from 2,100 to 5,500 revolutions per minute. The top speed is electronically limited to 250 km/h. Additionally, the engine and transmission have been tuned for more sportiness: for example, the preloaded turbocharger is kept at a constant speed in partial load operation during steady driving and low to medium acceleration, and in combination with the throttle valve being open during coasting phases, this improves performance. The seven-speed S tronic allows for more spontaneous driving thanks to a higher initial torque. Moreover, shift times at full load shifts have been halved, and the engine speed...
More Driving Dynamics: quattro Drive with Torque Splitter
The torque splitter, which was introduced in the RS 3 and now also features in the S3, ensures increased agility and higher stability. This technology allows for an active, fully variable distribution of torque between the rear wheels. For this purpose, the torque splitter uses an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch on each drive shaft to optimally distribute the appropriate torque between the inner and outer rear wheel - depending on the driving situation and the selected Audi drive select mode. Audi drive select offers a total of six different modes, catering to a broad spectrum of driving feelings - from comfort-oriented to extremely dynamic. In addition to the known profiles of auto, comfort, dynamic, individual, and efficiency, the model enhancement of the S3 introduces the new dynamic plus mode, which - as the name suggests - provides particularly high driving dynamics. For this purpose, the torque splitter directs as much drive torque as possible to the rear axle and to the outer rear wheel, resulting in a tendency for oversteering. The electronic stabilization control (ESC) is automatically activated in sport mode. Modulated interventions by the ESC control provide increased and emotional driving pleasure on different friction values. The engine and transmission are also specifically tuned for the dynamic plus mode. The idle speed of the 2.0 TFSI has been increased by 200 revolutions to 1,300 revolutions per minute compared to the dynamic driving profile, which serves to further improve starting performance. The throttle response is even more direct. Alongside shorter shifting times, the transmission also contributes to the increase in dynamics with later upshifts and earlier downshifts.

I was already going to wait for the 2025 model to release before getting the s3. But now Holly shit I want it even more. It looks more wider and aggressive and has a way better exhaust now I’m in love😍. The gear selector does look a bit better but I wish they gave an actual like bigger one. And I wish they put the s3 badge on the front grill. But maybe for the US and Canada they will put the s3 badge in the front and I really hope they do but regardless omg I’m definitely getting this😍🙌🏽

@@thebirdhasbeencharged If you mean the 8V, yeah, I do like its look a lot better even with this new facelift. The prefacelift 8Y though, is the worst. For interior and mechanical though, this facelift is much much better than the prefacelift 8Y - better materials, ambient lighting, torque splitter....If I were to be stuck with the Haldex V, I'd get the 8V instead. Overall, for 8Y, facelift > prefacelift for sure.

Why are there so many comments under every facelift review of this car from people that are owning the pre facelift version, saying that the current generation is better? Design is very subjective and in the eye of the beholder. But as a fact, this car is much better in terms of driving dynamics than the pre facelift and that's a fact. It has a completely new suspension setup, torque vectoring, a better engine setup (lag reduced turbo from the R Performance), better brakes and faster shifting times. So apart from the subjective styling, this car is better in every way.

The chrome swoops in the front grill and rear bumper are just too busy. I miss the look of the 2020 S3/RS3. That generation was sporty yet elegant. These new generations look like they're trying too hard.

I have an RS3 8Y too and I don't think the new one looks like that, they should make it very different from the rest of the range and let's see if they increase the power and adjust the traction a little to make it more aggressive. My focus RS had a little more progress at the back and was going better

Step backwards, what needed sorting out hasn't been touched. Cheap plastics inside, still there. Low rent B&O speakers, still there. S3 always a Golf R in an Audi frock. Buy the RS3, way better than this. I just hope they don't ruin that as well. I have a 2023 RS3 8Y sportback. Happy days.
