Audi stated in a recent corporate report that they want to remodel the A5 "in the second half of the year." That doesn't provide much information, but the report also stated that the brand's new Premium Platform Combustion platform will power both the next A5 and a revised Q5. Although the makeover of the A5 is still a while off, Audi usually styles their vehicles in this market class very conservatively. With the upcoming A5, they may buck the trend, but we still anticipate a distinctly Audi exterior design.
We anticipate the A5's interior to have the same level of contemporary Audi refinement, but we won't know for sure until it's revealed. There will probably be a sizable center screen and a conspicuous display of the Audi Digital Cockpit. With the revamp, we anticipate that the existing model's list of features, which includes a wireless smartphone connectivity, integrated Amazon Alexa, and a wi-fi hotspot, will grow.
