The screen looks tacked on and poorly thought out, the physical hvac controls are all gone, and it's full of gloss black that makes it look plasticky. Compared to the competition this is quite mediocre. Outside and the seats look decent though.

Um, no they didn't. The interior color is drab grey, the seats are made from cheap materials, the screens look like Walmart tablets held on by Velcro, no hvac controls, no rear exhaust tips...this car is a mess. It's def not worth considering.

I agree. The front and back looks good but it’s lost the sharp lines down the sides. Now looks like any Asian or other European suv😢

I don't know if I'd go that far. The Mazda CXt50 is pretty sleek and the most upscale and fastest in this category.

Rented a Tiguan in Orlando last week. The road noise and comfort couldn't beat my cx-5. The steering was lighter than and felt a bit more power than the cx-5. I am surprised why the ratings on this car is really low.

That would be never. The updated Tiguan for North America will be a different car VW now calls the Tayron. The second generation of that car will be sold as the Tiguan in the States.
