I'm definitely someone who keeps the same decor. Mostly because the pieces belonged to my grandmothers and mom, with new pieces that I've purchased or been given added. I change up the flowers (fresh and faux) to match seasons and add some small pieces seasonally, but mainly I keep things the same. Your new Vinchy wall art is gorgeous, and the area you chose seems perfect. Vertical or horizontal, it's your home, your choice. 🖌🎨

Same. I don't change much around my home because I love the look of it and don't tire of things easily. Plus I don't have the storage to store alot of extra decor that I'm not using.

House mantel etc looks nice for summer. The dining room buffet has 2 vases with flowers. A little busy but if you like it, then enjoy! Your dress looks pretty on you, especially the orange color. 🙏🇺🇸🐾

Hi Karen, the wall art is beautiful. Nice to change things up around your home. I live in the south, and I love the beach. I just got out of my comfort zone, and I bought two beautiful watercolor prints with Herons for over our bedside tables. I am adding some beautiful touches of the beach throughout my home. Not cheap or tacky items and not overdone.

Maybe consider taking some stuff off the coffee table and mantle? Three things max. I’m an interior designer in east Hampton NY and my clients homes, albeit beachfront, tend to lean towards modern aesthetic-similar to the black art. I love it. I don’t think it goes there because there is too much going on and it’s too large for that space. Do you have a plain white wall that’s large to hang it? Everything you picked out is beautiful.

I love how you are not afraid to try something new and different and "Art" is definitely one of those areas where one can do so. I really like how you pulled in a few more black pieces to bring it all together. Great job! Love the lotus diffuser, so pretty! always fun to refresh. i use to change decor from 1 room to another, including framed art. i even change the color of wax melts in the bathroom Scentsy warmer to match the towels. 🖼

Morning Karen. The new wall art is lovely. I was always raised “don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say it”. I am currently studying design, as I have taken on the task of designer in our new home build. The only thing I personally find difficult to look at when you pan out is the other wall art you have beside the TV. It doesn’t belong. Wall art should never be right beside a tv as I am learning, it’s too distracting. I don’t mean it as a bad comment, try it, take that piece down and pan out, take a picture and see, I think that’s what’s throwing things off. I’m sorry to write that I feel bad, but just try it. I love your channel I’ve been watching for years, love the evolution of your home decor, isn’t it fun? I’m always changing things up and moving things around, great advice. I hope that wasn’t a rude comment as I am not a professional, yet!!!! Just try it and see. I apologize if my suggestion is rude, but I can’t get it out of my head. 🤪 🥰

Hey Karen….love the new wall art! I shop my home all the time…..I have lots of black and gold in my home…my foyer and one wall is papered in matte black with little gold silver and white flowers…we did it when we moved into the new house 7yrs ago and never get tired of it….white couches and some black and gold here and there…I will send u some pics tomorrow……you did a great job! Well, this is certainly out of the box for you. I personally am not a fan. Its to modern for me. I did like the mantel styling. The bust of the lady is pretty... but I think she needs to live on the mantel , since you have little grandkids coming over. Of everything, of course... I love the coffee table and your gorgeous gold tray with the handles. Its such a lovely anchor piece that can transition each season. And it looks like you. Some of the other things seems trendy, but does not give me a Karen vibe. But its your home... so whatever makes you happy today

Just a small suggestion regarding the artwork... perhaps using 2 panels instead of 1 and maybe in a contrasting color instead of all black. This could help separate the visual of your TV on your lower level. From a distance it almost looks like a secondary TV. But adding the mini uplight will complement the art piece perfectly. A frustrating part of decorating is once you display modern artwork it's best to gradually add additional modern touches so traditional and modern can work in harmony together. It's a cost effective way to update or change-up a look just incorporating a few modern touches as you have done. Lovely accents and your home looks beautiful and welcoming😊

Art 🖼. Love the black art piece and your black pottery. I love the pops of orange. I am like you in that black looks good with orange and rust colors. I change things up somewhat usually with the changing seasons. I have orange and yellow flowers around my living room also, but they are from spring. I’m leaving them until fall decor comes out. I say yellow and orange are summer color too. Marigolds are those colors and they bloom in the summer.
