Following its launch in Indonesia, the 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross will continue to be launched in the Philippine market with a starting price of 1.328 million Philippine pesos.
The 2023 Mitsubishi Xpander Cross has a familiar silhouette, similar to the previous version. However, it packs a bunch of new features that give it a more adventurous look. The front of the new Xpander Cross features the well-known Dynamic Shield front fairing, which is also present on the standard Xpander. The vehicle also gets sharp-looking LED daytime running lights and T-shaped tri-projector LED cluster headlights. A new feature on the front of the vehicle is a narrow black stripe.colored plastic that extends from the grille to the fascia, giving the vehicle a more rugged look. The front bumper is also more prominent, adding depth to the entire front end of the car.
One of the unique styling updates of the 2023 Xpander Cross is a set of polished 17-inch alloy wheels, an improvement over the previous model. The vehicle also features square wheel arches, giving it more presence than its standard Mitsubishi MPV sibling. The rear of the new Xpander Cross shares the same general shape and updates as the standard Xpander, but features a more attractive rear bumper, as well as new tailgate trim.
In terms of dimensions, the Xpander Cross is currently 4,595mm long, 1,790mm wide and 1,750mm high. It also has a ground clearance of 225mm. In the cabin, the car is equipped with a 4-spoke leather steering wheel and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster. The car also features an infotainment system with a 9-inch touchscreen that supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Other interior features of the Xpander Cross 2023 include leather seats and an electronic parking brake with charging function
Second and third row seats are comfortable with plenty of headroom and legroom. The second row offers space for up to three people, the third row offers enough legroom and headroom even for people of average height. Under the hood is the naturally aspirated 1.5-litre 4-cylinder engine that produces a maximum power of 105 hp at 6,000 rpm along with 141 Nm of torque at 4,000 rpm.Depending on the variant, the Xpander Cross can be paired with either a 5-speed manual gearbox or a CVT.
