I just picked one of these up yesterday. I was a little bummed out to discover that 28" is the largest tire you can put on there because of how close the tire comes to the inside wheel well on the front when you go full wheel lock. I plan to get some offset a-arms so I can run my 30" tires I currently have. I'm going to see if the 30" will fit on the rear without modification soon. Hopefully more people will start posting their modifications to the 1000-6 because there aren't many videos on here.

Needs extended a-arms and 32s,also needs full cab with hvac like a canned ham defender.I also think the back doors should be flat across the top not angled.all my opinion

It looks like they tried to cut costs as much as possible by using a universal door. I agree that the back should be flat. I think they did the a-arms like they did so the turning radius was better. It has a better turning radius than the Talon.

Always been a Honda guy but I need more. Can am offers so much more. This bike needs 30’s to begin with. Just based on accessories available on their website it will be a while before I can get all the cold weather mods. I need a good cab with all the heated options, power windows, clearance for tracks etc. Polaris offers all this along with can am. I want Hondas reliability and long term value. But they just don’t offer the creature comforts.

Yeah a roof should be standard. It was on my Pioneer 1000-5. Honda accessories have really gotten pricey. They always were but have really gotten out had. Glass OEM windshield on the Pioneer makes it way to hot to ride in the heat of summer. Thinking about getting a flip up windshield for summer.

Oh yeah, it's crazy to think the only model Pioneer they've put a roof on standard was the Special Edition for 2021. Yup yup, definitely can't argue there bud as I've seen the prices go up and up first hand. I remember thinking they were pretty expensive back in 2016 when they first rolled out their new accessories for the 1000 lineup in comparison to the 700 lineup. However, that was only the beginning lol as those price have really increased on those accessories over the last few years. But at the end of the day, what hasn't increased? Crazy times for sure... You hit the nail on the head there, glass is waaaay too hot if you have warm temps in the summer. Having no airflow can make things miserable real quick if it's hot out and you're not flying through the trails!

@@HondaProKevin Yeah i bought my glass windshield in 2016 and it was $550. Now it’s over $1000. And yes with the heat coming from under seat and no air flow from the windshield it gets toasty.

I was going to put my 30" tires on it, but when I picked it up from the dealer I quickly realized that they wouldn't fit up front due to the tire already being super close to the wheel well plastic. I'm going to order some new A-arms that extend it forward 1.5" and that should allow me to put the wheels and tires on. I'll get a video uploaded when I'm able to do that. I have yet to find on on here with 30" tires installed.

27" is too small, but how big can you go without buying more parts to get the necessary clearances? How much is that going to cost me? Won't be too many $$ until I get to the price of an RMAX (30" = stock).

29" is about the max you can go, depending on the exact tire, without having to spend more $$ for additional clearance. So less than $1k to get close in sizing but then again that depends on which tire you go with as some are getting rather pricey these days ;)

@@HondaProKevin I was thinking of going with Tusk Terrabites. I have a 2 inch lift installed, I know the terrabites come in undersized as marked but what would you suggest? 30 or 29 inch?

Compared to the competition, what you're getting for the $$ isn't bad, but... that's not to say they definitely couldn't give you more for the price tags these things are demanding these days! One being a top. In my opinion, a roof should be standard equipment like on the Talon and not an almost $1,000 accessory.

@@smokinbutts2 I just picked up an Olive green one yesterday. I got super lucky and happened to be at the dealership when they had one delivered. I immediately put a deposit down on it. lol
