Only a must have for those who own HDR10+ TVs, otherwise nothing new and simply a way to rob you of money if you already own the 2021 version.

How about up the price to the additional $30 again and supply a nice charging cable and power supply? The move to stop supplying these continues to completely baffle me, esp. since they keep changing the darn cable type all the time.

For faster times to get four k KZread videos have premium and have iOS 16.1 turn on higher quality picture on Wi-Fi and cellular if your device has cellular data enabled and have the latest version of the KZread app

Just picked mine up a couple of days ago. Love the redesigned remote that they upgraded last year. I had the 4K 64GB from the edition before last. It’s really nice. The setup was really easy too! Cool video!

I have the very fist Apple TV 😂 just finally decided to order the latest one. Needless to say I’ll see a huge difference

Can you use the same power cord from the Apple TV HD from 2015 with this TV? Also do the HDMI cables work from previous models? This is one thing I plan to upgrade. I am also going to get one for my parents TV in the living room. Do you think Apple will have any discounts during Black Friday?

2022 4k was much less buggy when using airplays volume controls ported quicker to AirPlay speakers while on my 2021 ATV 4K, it was laggy and still controlled the hdmi volume output even though I disable audio to the tv.

upgraded from chromecast to this very version of Apple TV. Unimaginable boost in screen quality. Totally worth it.

Don't think I'll need to upgrade any of mine. I have the last version 4K in the living room, and the 4K before that in the bedroom. If I needed another or a new one of course I would get this version.

Since it’s the first remote with USB C, you’d think they’d include a cable. I’m sure there are many Apple customer who don’t have one. Otherwise nice that it’s smaller and cheaper.

The most loyal Apple customers probably have an iPad that already has a USB-C Cable, new Apple customers come from an Android phone that has a USB-C cable or at least any other accessory that comes with it. At this point, I’d be surprised to meet someone who doesn’t have at least one USB-C cable at home

I like using Apple Music with this, it has Dolby Atmos and being able to use my Ps4 controller with games. I had the old Apple TV with the optical port as I had older equipment, however that is not an issue as most TVs have an Optical out so I can use that instead and apps that have Dolby Atmos will have 5.1 with older AV equipment.

So I'm cutting the cord finally and am thinking about trying KZreadTV. Unfortunately I have a 2015 model Samsung TV that doesn't support the KZreadTV app, so I need a streaming device. Since I have many other iOS and MacOS devices, Apple TV seems the logical choice for me. Would I be able to get the KZread TV app on this? And also, if I don't plan to use an ethernet connection, is there any reason to go with the 128 gb instead of 64? Thanks for your help!

There is most definitely room for a cable for the remote. Just need to shape it a little.

I never ever want to have all of my image chaos in the appletv. May I filter the pictures transferred to Appletv? An idea I have, would be: Setting up an album on an ipad / iphone and syncing only those pics. Is that possible?

Debating on going the streaming instead of Cable. I have an older Apple TV that I wasn't using and plugged it into my older TV. So, what I'm thinking instead of buying a new Smart TV I'm wondering if just buying the new Apple TV 4K would be the better idea.

Is the new one they were planning for AAA FPS gaming? or as that still in the works?

I’ve LG smart tv so I can AirPlay from my iPhone + apps on it. What are benefits of having Apple TV then? I do have movies though, which I have bought and would like to download them.

Airplay connect was glitchy on the 2021. Volume controls didn’t port over from the hdmi monitor out to my airplay speakers. With the 2022 4K, there is no such issue

So, here are some questions: We get our TV via satellite which comes with its own box. How does Apple TV work with that? I’m guessing Apple TV bypasses the TV’s pre-installed apps in favor of its own. Is that how it works?

Great video, but why would one buy that with a smart tv ?

Apple needs to add support for simultaneous outputs. Currently they support only output via bluetooth or hdmi, not both. I have a use case when grandparents want to watch tv with the family and they need their own headphone and volume control while the rest of the family listens via the home theater system. I do this now with a separate headphone output, but it would be great if added as an option via appletv.

What’s better Apple TV or fire tv?

Love the apple TV, but setup is annoying when you don't have an iPhone and you cant get rid of the complete setup message. I have to check my iMac to get the code. I prefer my Zfold 4 for my cell and have not found a way around it sending the setup code to my Mac.

Please, can upload third party Apps on it?

How about heat? the base model will get hot?because it havent fan?

Just got my first Apple TV today. My Firestick wasn’t cutting it anymore. Picture looks better on Apple TV. The remote seems overly sensitive, but I probably have to get used to it.

The only thing about it you can't side load apps like you can the fire Cube

Does the Apple TV have universal voltage can it work for both 110 and 220 volts

Why no stick? Still nice device, but it need to replace youre own TV remote , but the design is pretty slick and it's defective tly a very good or the better smart boxes to buy as smart tv/boc stick and I would enjoy it. And with the gaming it's pretty damnb slick

If you have a 4K tv then yes

On my 2022 Apple TV 4K on tvOS 16.1, Match Dynamic Range switching between Dolby Vision, HDR and SDR is not working. I have to switch manually. This is not an issue on my 2021 unit. Is anyone else having this issue?

You can use your applewatch and your iPhone as a remote as well.

Excellent video! Was very interested to see just how different this is from the last gen TV4K. The price difference, at least to my eyes, literally only reflects the lack of a charging cable for the remote, and the savings on the bill of materials for fan, plastics, packaging. Unless you previously owned a product that charges with USB-C, the $20 cable you’ll likely purchase at time of sale will bring it to $149/$169… no real savings if you don’t own a recent MacBook, iPad or other Type C device 😅

Apple is known for overcharging for maximum profit. Who cares about them? If you have money to burn, support them, otherwise, I am not keeping up with their updates. Nvidia shield pro beats them with the exception of HDR10+.

Its meant to get hot (upto a point). As this one is a fanless design, hence the hotness you are feeling is not overheating, but rather heat dissipating.

I am looking to purchase the 128gb model. I have a 4K TV and all of my devices that are connected to my 4K TV

Remember that you don't need the ethernet model for thread support in your apple home if you already own a homepod mini!

You have an app that can only play Apple TV shows and movies this device is its own device. Runs tvOS, can install apps from App Store too. Ofcourse it includes the Apple TV app that you have.

IS THIS WORK WITH DISH ANTENNA TOO OR JUST WORK WITH WIFI???

This would be my first Apple TV.😊 But few doubts! Does it work with the external sound bar like JBL 2.1? Via Bluetooth or the HDMI- ARC out? Hope you can get me an answer 😊

Via HDMI-Arc should work. Bluetooth might as well, but sounds clearly inferior.

@@zollotech I use it so the Homepods connected to the Apple TV can be used when I use other devices connected to the TV like the XBOX

It might be cheaper for the new one in the usa but in norway i came with a price increase.

Does it support up to 120hz tho?

Not sure this one makes sense monetarily as you can now get the last gen for $100 with 32gb and Ethernet/wifi. The A12 is plenty fast for what the Apple TV is meant to do. Unless the extra storage is a necessity for you.

Mine doesn’t get here till tomorrow I got the 128gb model.
