This is okay for somebody that lives and dives in an urban environment doing short journeys. If you however use the vehicle on long journeys where you're rarely braking you'll find that the battery is depleted after an hour or so and then you either have to stop and recharge it, or accept the fact that from that point on you only have a two wheel drive vehicle that's lugging a load of dead batteries and electric motors around. I could understand it if the battery could be replenished by the ICU too, but as it can't it has very limited use. There's a reason they never give you the fuel consumption and 0-60 time when the battery is flat and you're just using the ICU.

How can 1hr 24mins be enough to charge a 15 kWh battery from a 7 kW outlet? 1,4h * 7 kW = 9,8 kWh. At 0:55 JLR says: 132 minutes, that is 2h 12mins.

I email a LR tech guy. HE basically said the difference is between actual battery size and usable size In hybrid or EV mode. To always have AWD available, some battery capacity is reserved for such needs.
Ya sure like i'll find a Charger in the middle of a rainforest......🙄🙄 wait....... i wont find a gas station too
