Nice update! I will pickup the 2TB card because I’m running out of space and I’m impatient! It is crazy that it’s not too far off the RRP of a series X but M$ are making a loss on each console. The end of exclusivity for Seagate will hopefully bring some much needed competition next year. I suspect the form factor of the cards also adds to the cost. I also have a 2TB Samsung T7 SSD plugged in for XBONE games. Personally I think Sony’s approach to storage expansion is superior. PS5 native storage is faster and there is greater flexibility in terms of upgrade options. Time will tell I suppose!

The prices are extortionate no way is a 2gb memory extention worth more than my Series S. Without a doubt the 3rd party manufacturers are gonna make a killing if the prices don't shift. I honestly can't think of anyone who would pay that. Brilliant video man new subscriber from me keep up the good work. -Reece

Hey Reece !! Thanks so much for commenting, and subbing to the channel, means a lot. Yeah you are so right!! Like how can it be more that a Series S. Oh and yeah once the 3rd party manufactures efforts become available we should, hopefully , see some better prices. I'm OK with just deleting games .... for now !! Its not an entirely bad idea to do something like getting a bunch of 128/256 GB memory sticks and just switch out according to what you're playing. When they're on sale it can be a much cheaper option.

a whole year and this is what seagate does with their xbox branded monopoly 2 drives at the same price per gb as last year. I cant wait till their deal with xbox ends.

I’ll be picking one up to go with my halo Xbox. That means I spent 950 bucks and I’m OK with that. Knowing that there’s people out here paying $800-$1000 just for the Xbox series X. They’re willing to over pay for an Xbox series X but cry about paying 400 for a memory card. What’s the science behind that lol

Yeah, at the end of the day if you are happy / willing to spend money on something then it is worth it. Enjoy your purchases!!!

Target has them listed on their site already, just showing the 512 and 2tb as sold out.

@@Gavlaaar88 I'll get the 2tb, if I can ever get a series X at a reasonable price. Yesterday I backed up 2.5tb of games from a dying drive to a new one on my one X. I'm also hoping that other companies will make a 4tb model at a decent price.
