Without a doubt, these tutorial videos on Nevsky are the most helpful, clear and concise I’ve seen on any boardgame. They are excellent teaching tools. While English is not the editor’s first language, he demonstrates first rate fluency and his French accent only enhances these videos. Highly recommended. for the quality and breadth of this production.
Possibly one of the most exhaustive wargame tutorials I have seen online. Please do more of these in English! They are really helpful.
The production value of this tutorial is amazing. Well done, really.
"Delicious French accent..." LOL. It truly is. What a fantastic resource for Nevsky learners. Well done!
This three-video long series is true magic! Bravo!
Thank you so much for doing these rules in English. Love from Belarus

Waow ! Not so far from Izborsk, Pskov and lake Peipus !
Thank you for these videos. I am a 70 year old novice at playing games such as Nevsk, but your tutorial really helps me to understand the dynamics of the rules and scenarios that drive these game systems. I mentioned this on the Ardwulf's Lair live stream on February 28, 2022. Other people in the live stream has the same high opinion of your ability to teach game systems.
I love this game and your video has, somehow, made me love it even more. This is teaching through stroy-telling at its best. Bravo et merci beaucoup.
This is the best tutorial I have seen in years! I wanted to give up on ever learning Nevsky (horrible rules manual in my opinion) but this tutorial opened my eyes and my old mind and I finally feel access to the game. Thank you so much!!
Excellent tutorial, really clear, very understandable. Huge thumbs up 👍 to you for doing this, wargames can be very dense and unapproachable, but this tutorial makes it much easier to understand. Playing my first game of Nevsky this weekend with the help of this video, thank you!
Thank you so much for your effort! Fantastic idea dividing the video in sections and naming them! Very easy to find what you need. Also the pdf related to the game are very helpful! Please don't stop creating videos in English!
I've got the game, and played the first scenario a couple of times, but didn't see the 'big picture'.This tutorial really helped it all make sense, really excellent work!
It was so hard for me to read those rulebooks. Thank goodness you made a video.
That's so useful, definitely one of the best game tutorials I have ever seen. I hope you'll cover some heavier games like: - The Burning Blue - PQ-17 Arctic Naval Warfare - 1805, Sea of Glory Those sit on my shelf for quite a while, because I don't really get the rules. Luckily I understand some French, so I can also learn Empire of the Sun with your tutorial.
Bravo! I have to applaud how incredibly well you have explained the rules in this series of videos. Everything is so clearly presented and the examples are perfect.
I'm on my fourth campaign game play through. I used your tutorial to learn the game. I love this game!

Possibly the best tutorial for a GMT game. Detailed with examples and didn't rush through at any point. thank you.
36 seconds of this amazing french accent with attitude and I subbed.
by far the best wargames tutorial out there
I was struggling to understand the game by reading the rules and then I heard about these videos. These are so well done and made learning the game much easier. Thank you for the time and effort you put into creating them!
I really appreciate the amount of work you put into making these videos. One thumbs up is not enough to thank you for this!
Excellent video! Clearly explains everything, and without any wasted time, but still in a very interesting manner. Merci beaucoup!
I should have started learning the game here. Fantastic! I’ve watched the first 50 minutes and everything is coming together. Really appreciate all the effort and time that must go into this. :)
I am always delighted when I see a video on this channel concerning a game I’m looking at as I am confident I can get it played properly. I have had countless plays of HF4 with all the expansions largely thanks to this channel. Keep up the brilliant work!
Excellent excellent tutorial. The best there is. Subscribed and I hope you will keep doing them in english. Once again, impressive work. Much appreciated.
Thanks a lot! You are my most preferred english spoken with french accent youtuber! 😁💕
Thank you for doing a rules video in English. I have seen your videos in the past and they looked really well done but due to my extremely poor french I was unable to watch them. Hope there are more English rules videos in the future.

What an amazing video and production. Thank you so much for this super interesting instructional video. Really increased my excitement to get Nevsky on the table.
This video is amazing! Thank you for taking the time to put this together!
Formidable! Probably the best tutorial video I've ever seen.
I did indeed overcome the delicious French accent and it was totally worth it. This was a *great* tutorial! Well done!
One of the best rules and play through videos I’ve watched!
Thank you for the video in English! Easy to understand even from Italians! Grazie!!!
Salue Jean Michel, you did a very very great job, thank you! Now I have to buy this game!
A brilliant job done here. Thanks for all your work!
c'est bon. this is a fantastic tutorial video. many thanks for making this game easier to learn for us.
Much appreciated you doing this English! This is great stuff
Very impressive! Watching it before trying to digest the rulebook. Being a Russian I'm indeed delighted by the choice of the topic by Volko Ruhnke. And on top of that, this French accent makes it look and feel more 'medieval' 🧙♂️
BRAVO. Fantastic work!!!

Best tutorial ever and bonus the French accent that makes it even better....
Outstanding presentation and playthrough! Very well done.
The best tutorial that exist... Brilliant simply brilliant. I hope that you will also do Republic of Rome in English.
This is a beautiful play through, thank you!!
Absolutely fantastically explained! You are amazing :)
Great job. This is a game that is very hard to break into. This was a perfect intro focusing on the basic and key rules
Fantastic series; really made learning the game a breeze. Thank you so much for doing this.
Great work with this tutorial!, thank you very much. My best wishes to carry on
The best tutorial on a big game I've watched so far ! Bravo!
Love your videos - always very helpful.
your video makes me want to buy the game. superb!
I was very close to turning this off because of the accent but then…found it oddly charming :D absolutely amazing teach
Excellent work!
This is a 2019 game!?? Anyway, BEAUTIFUL video. I love this channel and all the content I can actually understand.
Amazing tutorial video. Thank you so much 🙌
Thank you for this. Good job!
Thank you for this video John-Michael BigGame 😁👍
Brilliant teaching videos! Thank you very much!
Exceptional review. Thank you. And I love the accent.
Amazing video!
Fantastic video, ty!
Thank you so much for this.
This is amazing.
Fantastic... Thanks so much for doing this. If you ever want to consider revisiting Here I Stand in English--I'd be first in line!
Top stuff mate
Very good explanation. I see that you even have a series for Empire of the Sun. Maybe one day I'll acquire and dive into that monster too. Can you do one for Enemy Actions: Ardennes?
"But you are French ?" ;)
Enfin super!!!!
You should work for most of the production game PROJECTS, and set for them rules books and video they may insert in the box as digital link, how to play etc. AMAZING!!!
u are a hero
It's a very interesting combat system
This is outstanding! You have the best rule videos! Can you do one for inferno!
Thank you so much, very helpful. Can you please do a series on Almoravid as well?
Would love to see more English guide form you

I don't own Up Front... I play ASL instead ;) and there are already a lot of very good videos on it. Generally speaking, I'd like to spend time on old (forgotten) games : gunslinger, Magic realm, car wars, ...

Ah okej. So o chance for Combat Commander either then? Thanks for veryo good videos! Your Oath video is superb!
really excellent videos that make a comprehensive but difficult to understand rule book make much more sense - thank you! one very quick question - did you deliberately not draw capability cards for the first levy to keep things simple?
@KokoLeMakak

yes. I don't talk about Art of War card until video #2
Merci!
Fantastic playthrough, very informative! Thank you. Any chance you could re-do your older videos in English, please? It would be very useful for non-French speakers. (I myself am particularly interested in Republic of Rome.)
Please make another video for Almoravid

@KokoLeMakak
Do you have to feed troops for every move or jus in the end of the command card? Example: Let's say I want to move three times with my command card...do I pay 3 provender? Thank you!
@KokoLeMakak

Just once at the end of the command card, whatever the number of moves & fights.
