@@adrianruvalcaba2896 Yeah, probably has nothing to do with the teams trying to waste time, starting to give lots of fouls, and taking their time to stand up after a foul. Just the refs wanting to take a breath (in case it´s not clear, sarcasm)

I'm a young coach and i like to respect referee's while I'm on the sideline and also serve as an example for my players. After this video i have gained even more respect for the refereeing job and will continue to act responsible on the sideline. Regards to every single hard working referee :)
Gary Neville gives his heart and soul at absolutely everything same as Carra, two incredible legends of the game they both would die on the sword for their clubs.
I've seen the whole special and it's a fantastic watch! Really informative with great conversations.
I thought the first test would be to stand in front of a bunch of people and take abuse.

Good to highlight the effort and all the hard training refs do, they deserve more credit and respect, such an thankless job! In any walk of life if someone verbally abuses you they get sacked or arrested, shouldn't be any different in football

I swear when I’m a player sure I can get tired and want water but when I referee, I can run/sprint a whole marathon without water
Neville was absolutely wiped after the yo-yo test - the will to complete the next stage is what gets you 8 Premier Leagues, 3 FA Cups and 2 Champions Leagues

I never thought my amateur rugby fitness training is actually almost the same as PGMOL referee fitness training. I don't mean it in any bad way. Just wanted to say my previous coach did a good job in training us to have great amount of fitness. He used to be a referee too, both in amateur league of rugby and football. Most rugby athlete pro or amateur in my country do play both rugby and football because we appreciate both sport

What kind of a beep test is this? I know the one where you continuously run and gradually speed-up on every level, but they had pauses in between levels, or is it just video editing trick? Level17 on a beep test is almost unreachable
@farkhodkurbonov828
5 жыл бұрын
No, they didn't video edit it. It called Yo-Yo Test. Very similar to a Beep Test, except you have 5 yards cushion where you finish your run, stop, turn around, reset, run to the line-back and another reset etc. It's taking over regular Beep Test as coaches describing it as more effective (game-related)
Anyone knows where I can watch the full documentary?

Carra played many extra time games during his LFC days while Gary played only fergie time. That explains their fitness level difference.

@t2udu
7 жыл бұрын
Bro, I don't think you know what fergie time means, let me give you an example to illustrate. Let's say for example manu was tied in extra time, and let's say that extra time was officially 4 min, fergie time is the time manu would actually score the winning goal which in this case would be something like in the 5th minute or so. So by that logic Neville should be the fitter of the 2
