Great! This is likely the most exhaustive wizard build guide on KZread. It would have been even better if you delved into the mechanics of smolder and chill to assist newcomers and those unfamiliar with wizard powers. Excellent video! 👍🏻

I would go into more detail about those sorts of mechanics if I understood half of them, myself. That's the great thing about Wizard, as long as you're using the right feats/class features/powers, you're well on your way to performing well in a dungeon or trial, without actually reading or understanding the mechanics behind the class lol. I'm not really a DPS main, myself, I much prefer tank, and to a lessar extent, heals, so I am much more knowledgable about those classes or roles.

@@5mirablue I totally get where you're coming from. Your approach to Wizard builds makes a lot of sense, and your tank and bard healer setups are top-notch. The community would definitely love to see more of your content! Your expertise in tanking and healing really shines through. Keep up the awesome work! 😊

hello im a new sub. Couple questions. 1) are all your stats maxed on the ST mdwp build? 2) can you give me an updated build like current for mdwp both single and aoe please?

I am all 90s on all of the builds shown, except for arcanist. The builds shown in the video are up to date with all the new gear and everything from mdwp.

I see you have fireball in R1 on single target is there a reason to go with that instead of icy rays in r1 on single target ?

I've tested between the two and going R1 fireball and icy rays or doing R1 icy rays and chill strike instead do about the same damage from what I can tell. You should be fine either way.

Do let your 3rd hit on chilling cloud at will hit or auto cancel with missile for arcane mastery included

You can, I know some people do that. I personally don't see any damage difference doing that, so I just sprinkle in a magic missle here and there to refresh arcane mastery.

Why do you run executioners covenant and protectors covenant? Don't hey cancel each other out?

I am currently using them because there's not really anything else to run and I have the ratings. I suppose you could run an artificer's persuasion in its place, it's a bit of preference. I will be switching one or two bonuses to some of the new bonuses coming next mod.

Is the arcanist build just an alternative to the single target therm build?

It is, yes. Arcanist can deal higher damage than thaumaturge in certain bosses and it's a different playstyle. Places where I may use arcanist: 2nd, 3rd boss MDWP, 2nd, 3rd boss MTOS, Gzemnid, Zariel, Crown, Demo. Mainly these places I might use it.

@@codycovey6258 Also note that arcanist only "might" do more damage in bosses. Thaum is more consistent overall, but arcanist is a fun and different playstyle compared to thaum.

Hi I’ve got a question why you do picked red dragon ? It decreases your offensive stats

If you're referring to the red dragon wings mount bonus, it's just because I cap with them. It decreases ratings, yes, but dps get so many ratings, it makes it easy to cap even with the decrease.

Can u explain how u use free encounter pls

I'm not sure I understand the question. Are you referring to on my arcanist loadout? If so, there's a daily that causes your cooldowns to be much lower for several seconds.

Yes i mean the arcanist build, how to use ur L2 and R2 free attacks ?

@@koc-t6493 R2 and L2 are the at-wills. They naturally don't have cooldowns, just a cast time.
