Wow, it's really amazing to see how you managed to breed so many varieties of gold fish..im so happy to see you keep upgrading and updating your farm.. Bout the pond and box pond, in my own opinion. I think why is that in box pond is much better it's because of the filtration system that you did, and it's more easy for you to see and immediately make some changes if there is any circumstances that may occur.and one thing more, gold fish is more suitable for cleaner water and need more caring, Not unlike The mud pond, there's predators the water is not that good for them"gold fish".. But for koi, catfish, and live bearers, I think this kind of fish can manage grow fast in mud ponds.. 😘.. Take care every one, especially you my friend dexter.. Godbless to all.

I wonder if part of it is that the ones in the bamboo pond is the netting + the fact that the fish don't have to work as hard for food vs. the size of the mud pond. Love your box pond Dexter hopefully it will be worth it probably a LOT easier to raise the not so good swimmer fancy goldfish in there. I'd bet that ones like comets or koi etc would do better than they would in the mud ponds either that or even more room to fatten up the catfish :).

i personally experienced what you said bout caring and changing water constantly so that the fish would lay eggs weekly and by the grace of God my calico orandas and ranchus laid insignificant number of eggs
