this had all the feels. most animatics only show the sad or dramatic parts, but what gets me, is all the quiet and happy moments in between. seeing those moments and remembering the happiness is what makes the sadness so painfully sweet.

This is one of the only times I’ve teared up at an animation. Showing not only the dramatic moments but the happy and blissful ones makes it so impactful. I love how with scar and grian you made their link turn to chains when around BigB, it’s such a little touch but adds so much!!!! AGH I LOVE THIS ANIMATIC!

You know what I like in this smp. They all wholesome, so killing each other have a great impact to story in animatic. It always go like this "this is how we start and this is how we sadly end". Then every new smp, there was different combinations of people that will bond, but it will always the end the same way. Because this is the purpose of smp, a game that make you kill each other, And it poetic that they start wholesome.

i actually start tearing up during this animatic. i love how peaceful it is even during the death parts. this is just filled with so much emotion and the simple characters with the relaxing backgrounds just fits so well here. i love this so much :]

This is incredible!! I’m glad you showed the moments of friendship people had in between murder/accidents! The way you draw the deaths is amazing, like Jimmy and Ren. And the strings changng to chains for Grian and Scar, then for Scott and Pearl at the end flickering back and forth, like the relationship. Lovely detail! This whole animation is so wonderful, and your your style is beautiful as well! I hope some of the members find this to watch it

Those set of scenes at the end just got my feels!!!!! Especially with Joel and Etho at their damaged ship. Like... I want to headcannon that last bit to be all of them post game. Like ghosts! And is hit even more!!!! It is honestly incredible how painful and feelsies this is despite how simple it looks and how cute the whole thing appears.

I like how everything is interpreted (and the unusually bloody scenes)

Excuse me while I ramble because this is SO COOL!! I LOVE this art style! The simple, cute, innocent look to the characters while you show their corpses or them being beaten to death or blown to smithereens is such a dichotomy, it reminds me of the series itself. It's just a bunch of friends having fun roleplaying soulmates in Minecraft but it gets deep and dark and rather disturbing the longer it goes on. Showing the soulmates meeting each other and generally hanging out together, before everything went wrong, to open with is just perfect. I particularly love the frame of Joel and Etho at 0:10. Silly, funky lads. Not a thought behind those eyes. The matching of the lyrics to moments as well. "On some level I think I always understood" being Scar realising, and "this heart of mine that's guilty not remorseful" being Grian on the Secret Soulmates are two standouts for me. The symbolism of the 'string of fate' sometimes being a tied twine, and sometimes being a chain is brilliant too. Sometimes it feels like they're chained to each other unwillingly, unable to escape. Best shot in the whole thing is EASILY 2:29. It's just so haunting, and perfectly encapsulates that moment. Dead, alone, under a tree. Almost inconsequential, bland, especially followed up by bright shots of explosions and the more dramatic final deaths. Really drives home that the Ranchers really did die a useless death. And then back to the chain/twine symbolism with Pearl and Scott switching between them with their expressions changed slightly to show that they've warmed up to each other. All the cute little moments after that Scott and Pearl shot too. I especially like the Ranchers with their horns. Like I said, it's such a simple style that i feel really ties this whole video together. Not only is it reminiscent of the "awww funny Minecraft Roleplay- JESUS CHRIST ANGST" pipeline that is the Life Series but it's just adorable. Idk man. I love the Life Series, and I love looking way too deep into animatics of it. Half of this is probably unintentional but so is a lot of the symbolism in the Life series.

The amount of Crane Wives songs I've seen used for animators for this series is amazing!

I like how it's depicted with a peaceful start, and the way that things escalated didn't really seem so clear-cut good and evil in the characters, the music lends to that too. Thank you for putting the partners together in their end... It's nice seeing that they had hopes and dreams, had an adventure and their struggles --very human.

I cried i just cant believe it even the saddess smp has some fun and joyful moments there like a big family. Ty for this animatic 🥲

This animatic was very different than what I'm used to but in the best way possible. It slowly followed what happened in the series and hit in all the same ways and in the end it was just perfect! Amazing work, really

One of my fav animatics from Double life, commenting just a TINY bit late I really like both the montage from 2:27 , as the people start losing their lives in whats my favorite part of the song and the ending from 3:06 where you just show moments from the series. I do wish that every pair got a shot like 3:29 , but it makes sense why some didnt (BigB and Ren, the Divorce quartet etc) and the shot of Pearl standing alone, at the end, is just a great way to finish it. I do hope you continue making animatics, cuz watching them after the series is honestly one of my favourite parts.

I ABSOULTELY LOVE YOUR STYLE SO MUCH! ITS JUST SO NICE I DUNNO HOW TO EXPLAIN IT- and the character designs are AMAZING and i really love the detail in Cleos design and Tangos i also love the fact that when they are drawn simply it looks like they are wearing ponchos. The fact that its all coloured in, its just so nice in everyway it can be and the beams of light when they are outside just gives such a nice mood with warm streaks light and the glow effect is so nice.
