I just love the cast, all of them, especially Carrey, and the cinematography, the music, the story.. it's all perfect, heartbreakingly perfect.. I even ordered the novel and I'm waiting for it! In school I was a dreamer. When I grew up, I became a worker, and all the dreams died. I remembered this movie, and found paralels with our society, and the one depicted in this movie. No one would sacrifice their lives being a donor, and yet, we are sacrificing our lives being drivers, couriers, cleaners, etc. i think I should watch this movie again, to realise what director really meant.

Apart from the obviously reasons in the story (hand scanners etc.), what they don't get is that WE DON'T RUN AWAY.

Extraordinary novel and a very fine film of it. Incredibly sad and asks big questions of what society is willing to sacrifice and turn a blind eye to when it comes to personal health and longevity.

Oh! Finally I know the title! I have a vague memory of this movie, I first watched this as a kid and I remember feeling bad for the kids at that academy (?) cause of their life as organ donors(?). I watched The Promised Neverland anime just last month, which kinda reminded me of this movie. And now, KZread magic recommended this video to me.

babymoon lol. Your said “I got scared of the concept of falling in love with anyone ever since”, then you tell us to watch it. Why? That’s not selling it. You’re basically saying it did something bad to you, but no ‘watch it’ because “it’s really good”. All I’m saying is choose better wording if you feel like others should watch it then promote it, not bring it down. Just saying...
