ALWAYS thank a Vietnam veteran for their service. They were treated so badly when they returned home. They appreciate the thanks, even all these years later. Most of them were drafted and didn't even want to be there and they were all so young, between 18-24 years old.

We couldn't agree more. I mentioned in the video that most of those people didn't want to be there, and it's tragic what they had to go through upon returning.

I had two very close school friends who died in Vietnam. They were both drafted right out of high school, and they never got to realize their dreams. I miss them so much. I dedicate this and every memorial day to them. RIP James and Stephen.

My Dad was in the Army around that time. He also got lucky and missed Vietnam and was sent to Germany. Crystal's uncle WAS in Vietnam for 2 tours. When I hear some of the stories from some of the people i used to work with I feel truly blessed that my dad didn't.

Love the reaction y'all. Agree with your assessment of those who in real time faced the war. Amazingly my dad and uncle never had their draft numbers called. My father in law went National Guard and wasn't drug into that mess. I ask others to critique, as a Monday morning quarterback, why we were there. Why hundreds of thousands of our neighbors were forced into a war that was never official. Who else is better posed to stop this? We must love and support them but also MUST fight against our neighbors being used as political pawns. Loving Our warrior but fighting against the war they're forced to fight is not a dig to them. Just shows how fair our country has fallen. 🤬❤️🇺🇸🙏

We 100% agree with you. Our government puts us into positions in which our fathers, sons, brothers, friends, and neighbors are forced to fight for their political goals, when those brave men and women come home they are judged by those who didn't fight. it's tragic.

I thank everyone who in Vietnam. Our young men shouldn't have been there. It wasn't our war to fight. So many lives lost because our government stuck their nose into something that wasn't our business. At least that's my opinion, but I was very young then as I was born in 1964. And then the government and the country decided that they didn't deserve respect for what they were forced to do. They were spit on, or, I don't know if this is worse, but I think it would be, they were just ignored. It's like the country didn't want them anymore and just discarded them.
