This is a real depiction of the music industry. Greed, drugs, sex, and murder are the mainstays of that industry.

So many disguised references The death in the tub The shot because it was alleged she was drugged The cab # 397 Whitney had a big hit single out in March of 97 ( i believe in you & me) If you see the floor she died on in the movie it was the 4th (also checker board black in white pattern placed prominently in the scene) Whitney was also found on the 4th floor Blusettes character was addicted to not only cocaine but crack cocaine specifically as was whitney The character 8 ball ( another crack reference Surprisingly just seeing this for the first time but im sure on the rewatch research I'll find more R.i.p. ms. Whitney , the voice 2/11 She died on my b-day😣

Yeah Im since this movie about the dark side of the music industry was made in 90’s same time death row records was big back then Im guessing this movie not only based the shady side of the music industry but mostly about Death row records. Man SUGE knights was the godfather mafia of hip hop and music business back in the 1990’s He went after everyone especially after Death row records collapsed and after he went to prison he went after everyone from P Diddy to Master P snoop doog Dr Dre whole no limit soldiers Eminem exhibit whole 50 cent the G-UNIT CREW and Akon. D-12 Eminem’s Detroit crew. Suge knights was the gangster of the music business of the 90’s. Imagine if he took the Miami Detroit Chicago Memphis Houston and Atlanta even New Orleans regions back then. Snoop dogg went down south and joined No limit soldiers record label after 2-pac was killed and SUGE knights went to prison. Later snoop Dogg had his own record label. Suge knights robbed alot his artists including 2-PAC he had the LAPD in his pockets in the 90’s and during that rampart scandal era.
