I've seen a couple people with a maxxed mele radiated build melting that event as well.

any radiation damage seems to do this to them. My buddy used his autoaxe with overly generous and took out chunks when the radiation damage kicked in.

That’s what I do and I take them down in a couple seconds by myself, had two other people with me do it and we killed all 3 in under 30 seconds after they spawned.

That explains why I'm melting their health so quickly, as I was doing a low health with Generous added perk and it makes makes me laugh every time to watch their health melt.

I tried radium rifle and was not doing any bonus damage so must be overly generous

It fits the Vault 63 lore though. They weren't prepared for radiation.

If this gets fixed before the flickering I'll never buy another thing from the atom shop

Oh every damn time I go to any vendor it happens. Mostly when I got try to turn in treasury vouchers, but it will glitch out and crash on train station vendors, mine in my camp, and sometimes even when interacting with donation boxes I'll glitch out and game will crash. So many error codes since this update

Unrelated: have you noticed the bug that lets you grab/interact with items directly on the other side of a wall?? It’s been very advantageous, allowing me to unchain doors and press buttons to open doors without finding the keycard. As well as grabbing items in certain little areas I couldn’t before

Yup. That's my preferred method for taking on this event, especially since the gamma gun can have issues in a packed event. Auto-melee + OG works even when everyone on the server is at the event.

@@ClyFaker yeah the server can cause the gun version to not work. the melee version will always work. but what sucks now is that you can miss out on the event because it will die super fast now. you used to be able to complete an event then warp to it and there would still be a lot of fight left.

That's 3 different KZreadrs putting up videos about this. It'll be gone by next Tuesday.

It doesn't work every time, ive tried it multiple times and its never worked for me. Ive also tried the radium rifle. The most consistent is supposedly the auto axe and the melee charisma perk card. Apparently these work depending on the servee and lag. Ive done it like 10 times an i've not seen it happen once.

I've had a similar experience, sometimes it works, other times zero damage.

wait you said you were solo... doesn't the "dungeon" adjust it's hitpoints and everything based on how many players are in it? Cause i have been in at least a dozen of these with full crews, and those robots NEVER go down that fast.

They do one hundred percent go down this fast. I did 5 neurological warfares yesterday. Every tim they died within 1 minute or less.

It doesn't work very well on public servers because of the way damage is calculated with lag. Use the overly generous perk instead.

Mod it to single shot and keep some pause between shots, takes a little longer but works.

Server lag in this game has always made damage inconsistent. Too much stuff is happening too fast and the game just doesn't register it.

I just finished this event and saw that almost everyone had a gamma gun and it was over in very little time. But another problem is that I don't get rewards from events in the new map.

The gamma gun can be glitchy and ineffective in high population lobbies or laggy servers. For the best effect, use a radium rifle or a auto-axe/chainsaw with overly generous rank 2!

Auto-axe with overly generous for the win, people at the event yesterday were confused lol... auto-axe go brrrr!

One of the Goliaths got stuck inside the middle part that they come out of 😂 so we didnt get to kill it.

To add, this works mainly in private. I went to two Neurological events on a Public server, one I started (My 1st Nuke at level 1050! Yay me.) and the gamma gun didn't perform as well as in AT's video. Perplexed I went to a private world, launched a nuke and solo'd this event with my gamma. In private world they melt like butter. I don't know why it's not doing the same in a public server. I can see it's doing some damage, and more than my QE Choo Choo was, but not the massive needle moving damage I was doing on a private server.

Hope this won't last too long, i have flashbacks from the explosive energy weapons era

Ever since I saw Turtle's video I've been unsuccessfully trying to get a Gamma Gun or plans for it. :(

I tried this and so have 10 other people that I know and it hasn’t worked for any of us

As a PS5 player, I unfortunately confirm, the game is literally unplayable rn, it is impossible to browse your stash inventory without the game crashing 😢

No it's literally not. I'm on PS5 and browse my Stash eleventy billion times a play session. I crashed once this morning over the course of 3 hours and it wasn't Stash related. It was FT to Nuka World. Now yesterday I crashed probably 5 times when going to OTHER player's vendors. There is a serious issue there.

@@b1orogue I genuinely curious to know what kind of thought process makes you think that because you experienced something different you think that’s reality I can confirm without the shadow of a doubt there’s a stash related bug causing crashes in the game rn, I’ve seen dozens of reddit post and forums talking about it, and people who liked my comment probably experienced the same thing as well In fact it has even been acknowledged by Bethesda and they are working on it 🤷🏻‍♂️ But I am very glad to know that your stash amongst everyone else’s is working fine

Try reseting the PS5 cache by 1. Turn off the Console 2. Hold the power button on the PS5 until the second beep 3. Plug in the controller via USB and press PS button 4. Select clear cache and rebuild database 5. Select clear system software cache 6. Select OK 7. Wait for the restart This worked for me atleast for now. Hopefully they patch the crashing issue soon.

For the gamma gun mods, use deep dish, sharpshooter, and signal repeater. Been working like a champ for my groups. Best legendary is quad since dmg does not increase for any other legendary that it normally would. A quad can nearly take out a full health bot in one mag if mostly crits.

This explains why arriving 2 minutes after the event began (I was preparing, it was my first time) I had just enough time to tap the last bot with one cremator shot. Thankfully I was on a team and didn't miss any drops. Will keep this in mind in the future. Thank you.

When the event started it was really a long fight, now for last two days it's done in under 4 minutes. Just as I start to shoot and reload my Fixer and one of the robots is gone. Clip is still not empty and other robot is gone. BTW I think it's AutoAxes also I tried my Gamma gun but didn't do no damage maybe it was modded wrong or I'm missing some perks. And I've done it more than 20 times I still didn't get any of the weapons. But lucky me I found some on player vendors.

With a troubleshooters you can have one Goliath with one clip, no special build used. 😂 If the server slightly lags it might not work at all or take longer.

After seeing this in action, I took my Gamma Gun to visit Earl, and I was able do more damage than any of my fire weapons. 🤔

3:39 yeah I've been having the same problem the other day kept on getting kicked I assumed it was because of either boiled water duplication glitch as I call it from the water boiler that people got from season 16 I'm on the PS4

I’ve also learned the auto ax with the generous perk that give mele rad damage is also really good

i dont know. i tried an AA gamma, Quad gamma. TS gamma. the health really doesnt drop at all like it does in the videos ive been seeing..... am i missing something ? need power armor ? cards? chems?

Well that will be fixed fast after 2 channels are talking about it.

I've been using Overly Generous with a minigun shredder on my heavy build and it, if you will, shreds. Takes a bot down in seconds with the rad damage. Because other people are using this method it goes really fast now, so I open with a nuka grenade right after the fabricator finishes to tag everything or you might miss one.

found out about this when i got PA glitched in the waiting room and by the time my armor recalled and i could move again the event was done

It isnt just radiation friend, short flamer for whatever reason was doing it on xbox for me

makes sense cause of the meat parts in the suit as it would deteriorate with rad damage if its based on the real world effects like the brain

This doesn't really work with gamma gun and radium rifle. I tried bloodied variants and they simply don't do enough damage to have any visible result. But the auto axe really kills them in a second.

Overly generous perk card makes it faster.

Shh you didn't see anything, it's working perfectly normally .. no nerf required

This was really fun with ab auto-axe!

I wondered about gamma gun. Before I left for work last night (approx 17 hours ago) I was on a server where there were two or three people using them. Thought it odd at the time since its so rare to see people use gamma guns and the Goliaths were going down FAST.

Discovered this by accident after watching your auto axe vid (I had the auto axe since it was added just never bothered to make a dedicated build) . I guess the build wasn't even necessary all it is is the overly generous perk

After watching Angry Turtles video I decided to legendary roll a Gama gun to use. My first and only roll I got a quad, increase damage will aiming, and breaks slower perks on it. It MELTS these dudes.

oh wooow. i have been looking for a use for my sweet quad gamma gun :D will try it soon!

There's no way I just got a quad gamma gun from this event earlier today

Need a test to see a full team with Gamma guns to see how quickly they can drop... on a side note it took around 20 minutes to take them all out with a team of 14 not using Gamma.

@@no9scrum 100% it's just go there shoot it done, at least with the titan you need to take out the crystals or Encrypted use the pylons. It would have been nice if there where power cells on the walls you could take out to make them weaker...

@@kelvinmorris3 True, although I don't think anyone is going to play it like that, unless there was something in the game to force it. Like having them take no damage if there health is below 60% and the the others are over 60%, then 30% it would force people to focus on the others

I joined the event like maybe 2 minutes after it started and by the time I loaded in it was over

@MrWestTek yep your missing something pretty obvious. Melee build, auto axe, overly generous card. Get 3 ppl running that and watch all 3 flop on the ground in less than 30 seconds.

I don't even bother with the gamma gun when I can use the autoaxe more reliably in public lobbies and still take them down quicker.

the funny thing is you can still do good damage with a non melee build. you just need an auto melee weapon and those perks under charisma equipped.

In real life, extreme gamma radiation can break electronics fairly rapidly, if given in a high enough dose. But here is one instance where in terms of gameplay, it would make sense to give the robots a lot more resistance. But, pretty fun for right now! 😂

If they fix that before I can take over a power plant, complete daily ops, expeditions, without the game crashing I’m going to be pissed.

You can do same DMG with bloodied chainsaw with double bar.. in 1-2 Min alone

Yeah, this gamma gun thing is silly. Was able to pretty easily solo the event on an F1rst private server. Hopefully, it will be fixed sooner than later.

PS5 player and yeah the screen flicker is very bad and the constant game crashes through it all I'm still playing everyday currently away for work playing everynight on the Backbone

This doesn't seem to work every time. Did one with a friend, robots die almost instantly. Did two on public servers, no damage at all.

do you have the build for this. im using a gama gun and yeah its doing significantly more damage than normal balistic wepons but nowhere near that of the vid.

come to think of it.... i was wondering what was happening to the bosses health on like day 2 of the update... both my railway rifles broke and only had pretty much this gamma gun left and since it came up around 22 damage thought it was someone else xD

This is happening because unlike every robot in the game that is imune to rad damage these have rad resistance, not imunity, so they do take rad damage. So gamma guns, radium rifles (but much less) will work as well as melee attacks with high rads and the overly generous perk in charisma (auto-axe for example).

The gamma gun could almost compete with handmades and the like, if it werent for the automatic mod not reducing the ap cost unlike all the other convertable fire mode guns :(

Definitely be careful with this one I had one of the bosses get despawned yesterday because someone used this method to kill the first two way too early. The last one was left stuck inside of one of the chambers and we couldn’t kill it, luckily the event has a built in system to kill stuck bosses but the loot wasn’t accessible so we lost out on a legendary

I've been playing this update since it dropped and I've only seen it appear 1 time and it crashed on me. I'm checking all the time so I'm beginning to wonder if it's broken for other reasons

I run the same gun with pistol and explosive perks and i am not getting the same results (the only literally only other thing is that i am not wearing pa)

I went gamma Q-FFR it sure does the job, 35 seconds from the first hit so far 😛

I came into this event this morning and one player was using the gamma ray gun and he killed the bots within seconds. I couldn't believe it and was wondering what build he was using.

Ive been here just going in with half the lobby or so and just unloading heavy weapons for 5 mins or more. The. Next thing i know i go into the event and all 3 Goliaths burst down in under a minute. Needless to say i was shocked and confused

I think it's glitched for radiation... I was playing last night and someone was using a radium rifle to just take them out in about a minute

Pickaxe breaks down and you get 1 module. Bethesda immediately pauses pickaxe crafting so people dont craft/scrap pickaxes for modules. Then Bethesda reduces the spawn rate of pickaxes. Meanwhile, new expansion world boss is broken and no action. Hmmm.

I tried it today with a Bloodied Gamma Gun with no pistol perks and it didn’t seem to do much damage. Have you also tried a Radium Rifle?

Ive tried this several times and it doesnt work. I think it might only work on private/small servers.

can't finish 79 gold quest been bugged sence update ??? i am on last quest for foundation ( division of wealth) says i need to listen to broadcast ? when should be saving the scientist that fixed the robot miner diller ? i tried to finish rader quest for the gold on vault 79 was stuck on the cave the rad scorpions are stuck awalys cant kill them for the lady with robot voice box to move to blast the cave open to meet the suicide goul man?????? the game is in a terrible state quests have been bugged on vault 79 find gold mission sence new map update. todd howard fix your stuff gesss

I tried gama gun method as soon as I learned about it but it wasn't near as efficient as yours

Sometimes I choose terrible weapons just to make things more interesting rather then blasting my way through the wasteland 😅

I played a lot of hours yesterday and not one nuke was launched on skyline, not even one in the other nuke areas. Even the dangerous pastimes didn’t trigger though I do know it’s in general rotation so it’s random appearance now

Same alot of people were nuking ash heap and earle, as if we haven't done those events 1000 times already FS, and I'm lazy when it comes to launching myself, it used to be fun when I could glitch through walls but they patched my way and the camera glitch doesn't seem to work for me at all (others told me to try that one)

The tactics are flawless on this run. Getting them all down health wise so the health increase on aggregate are less. That makes sense.

Definitely not intended but I imagine the gamma gun will get a new use when playable ghouls come out
