As an old (51 years) aquarist I really love your enthusiasm and exitement! That reminds me of when I was a kid and we tried out many different fish/creatures in tanks/containers (only fresh water though). With that said, basically everything we did then ended up with the fish/creatures dead. We where definitely not cruel, we just did not know how to keep them alive. So - yes, go for a salt water tank, but expect to fail. Try your best! Read and research a lot. It is a learning curve. With the start I had, I learned more and went half professional for a part of my life. With what I know now, I am contemplating helping out with breeding endangered species. AND those will survive, with the help of that enthusiasm from the start and what I have learned since then. All the best!
