Netrunner Canadian Nationals 2023: Swiss Round 1 - Android: Netrunner
Ойындар
The first Swiss round of Canadian Nationals 2023 (East Coast Edition) brings a matchup between two local Montréal players. Diogene, with a spikey old-school Jinteki: Personal Evolution, is looking to trash an equal amount of cards to Liam's "trash forward" Audrey powered Loup.
Commentary by Andrej Gomizelj (he/him) and Patrick Sklar (he/him). Stay jacked in to the Métropole Grid for more Netrunner content. [The Runner loses a click, if able].

For a returning player who doesn’t know new cards and vaguely remembers the old ones those animations and card close ups are fantastic, thank you ❤
Thats my boy! No fear vs jinteki! If you flatline, do it with style

My pleasure, Andrew! Thanks for taking the time to leave some nice words.
Great to see some new netrunner videos, I've only got into the game recently and been watching lots of games from the past. The old ones are still fascinating to watch but it's great to see some cards in system gateway being played!

Welcome to the game jonny! You'll probably notice quickly that the majority of Standard is comprised of System Gateway and Null Signal Games' cards. System Gateway is an absolutely amazing learn-to-play system, let alone contains some of the most powerful and interesting cards. Cheers!
Y'alls commentary is so good and crazy engaging. Love to see it.

I was joking with Pat about my favourite section from this game: - "It looks like he has a Neurospike in hand." - "Cool." Real talk, Pat hasn't done any Netrunner commentary in six years, and he killed it. Glad you're enjoying the live games! There's a lot more to come.
So glad to see Metropole Grid back doing too-notch commentary on in-person games!
I love this this edited + commentated video, it keeps the special joy of in-person Netrunner, and adds some excellent clarity to what's going on.
Crazy how just looking at this "old school" video makes me want to play...
Your commentary and overlays are excellent! No surprise, of course, but still-they're the touches that take good coverage to great. I'm excited to see more of the event!
The overlays and server indicators make it so convenient to watch. Great work!

Thanks! The run indicators were entirely cribbed from the old Teamwork Cast/Trace Five videos! Krystian's stuff was always fantastic.
Man best way to play netrunner and watch it as well
Diogene is an absolute legend. So cool to see him play live here on stream.
Thank you so much for covering. As a new player this is such a good resource!

Tabletop Netrunner on the channel, you love to see it.
Yesssss, welcome back! Your in-person coverage years ago went a long way in getting me and my friends interested in Netrunner. Hope to see more in the future!

There's an entire older generation (myself included) of folks who got into this amazing game through watching in-person coverage. I'm hoping we can start another generation. Thanks Zieg!
I absolutely love the indicators of where triggers are happening, great work on the editing/effects side of things!

Thanks Elywnn! If you love the trigger bubbles, just wait for the Hoshiko games...
Aaaah, finally some live Netrunner! Love en so please keep them coming.
WOOOOO! This upload made my day! Thanks for doing these!
Wonderful commentating. Also wonderful editing. Very fun to watch. I also love how it is friendly to beginners. Well done.
So happy to see tabletop netrunner coverage again. 😊 Great job! On a side note the run at RnD around the 20min mark was pretty safe, the only lethal was the one possible snare remaining. No agendas were any danger because he had imp.

Yo! You're totally right - I can't believe we missed that. Things were a bit safter than it looked. Thanks for the kind words!
This brings back such good memories!

Amazing edit! Run arrows for target server are so cool

Thanks! The run arrows were lovingly cribbed from the old Teamwork Cast/Trace Five in-person games. Krystian used to put out some of the best produced Netrunner content, for a really long time. That stuff was super important for getting me into the game, let alone into making videos.
Tense game, great commentary.
WOOOOOO!
Yoooooo he's back!
why are the playmats upside down? my brain hurts :)

Great commentary. PE is bad for the game.
