How do you change the settings on the adapter? Literally no software for it that I can tell beyond the drivers installed.

I downloaded the drivers over and over worked for a second until turned off the pc and moved it to my desk now no light on the device and no wifi option popping up anymore re-download the driver and nothing looks to help

I have this device how can I use it to connect my pc to my Bluetooth speaker and LG TV? Thanks

Do you have to have direct access to a router to set it up? I travel a lot. Hotels WiFi is typically not very good. Looking for solutions.

Don't really notice much difference. Everything loads fast. 😉 My computer is on the same floor as the router. There's one wall between us. Probably around 900sq ft.

i bought this but im having a problem im going to control panel and changing it to perferred 6ghz but it seems to be locked on 2.4ghz any idea how to fix this would be the world to me

I'm having a problem with my ping spiking and I have tried literally everything. I switched my roaming aggressiveness and went to 6ghz and 5ghz, I'm planning on return to ethernet if this problem keeps arising, but before I do, i was wondering if there is any fix at all.

What kind of range does it get? The last usb wifi adapter i had couldn’t be more than like 6ft away otherwise speeds dropped to 20-30mps

I've heard that 6G is not really ready for prime time yet. So you did notice a small performance gain or no? I have a 6G router also but I don't think Verizon is pushing those speeds out yet. I also heard that they won't support 6G if you split your 2.4 and 5G networks which I am doing. Curious if you think this is worth it.

I have no idea about Verizon. I'd say if there's a lot of network congestion try 6g. Otherwise it's pointless from what I can see.

@@davewelike Thanks man. Verizon said basically the same thing. Just did an unboxing on my channel. Going to try it tomorrow so more to come.

Can anyone let me know if this will allow me to have a more stable connection? My orbi router is downstairs in a cupboard. I can’t move it as thats the only place it can be plugged in. My pc js above in my room. I keep being disconnected from wifi randomly so I’m assuming it’s the connection. Not too fussed on the speeds as long as it’s decent and stable. TIA.

@@davewelike hi thank you very much for your kind and valuable reply for sure it is not a bottle neck what a marvel i have a 2.5Gbps contract but slow wifi using Netgear A7000 Like 400Mbps in download i am waiting to receive some ax5400 usb wifi adapters to try out the router provided to me by the ISP should be a ax6000 I will receive also a xiaomi ax5400 with multigiga port the goal is to approach a 1Gbps in download

@@gino3286 yeah literally anything can be a bottle neck. The computer I tested on is on the same floor. Only one wall separates them. Maybe 100ft away. I've got a 1gb connection. Ethernet will always be the most consistent and best way to get fast speeds.

I installed everything for the usb adapter but when i go to connect it to the internet, I don't see any options for "Nighthawk 6G or 2G" or anything. What am I supposed to do.

Contact Netgear support and they can walk you through the process if mine didn't work for you in this video.

I will be getting Starlink in a month or so, my PC doesn’t have internal Wi-Fi and I can’t get USB tethering to work. I just picked this up and setting it up now, hopefully it works with a mobile hotspot until I can get Starlink

Second that. Connection to ISP is unpredictable at best. Can you support to test by local network transmission? I.e. laptop :: router - NAS :: Wifi - LAN cable connection 2.5GBe

So many reviewers make this rookie error. You absolutely need to be testing to a wired local machine. Even to a cheap box running an iperf3 server would suffice. That said the number of "reviews" that are just unboxing and reading the spec sheet, I'm thankful tests were performed at all.
