The UPnP won't matter if you're gaming. You'll still get a type 3 NAT

I managed to snag mine for $164 used without the original box. Just arrived in my city I should have it tomorrow or the next day. Cannot wait.

Great videos. The best i've found for the MR1100. Thanks for posting them! I have one big question. Do you have any advice for how to optimize the advanced cellular settings to improve cell tower signal? I'm on the ATT network, and out of the box I was only getting one or two bars but decent speeds. Change the band region to WCDMA All and bars increased to 4, but speeds were terrible. LTE All was slightly better bars and medium speeds. Any thoughts or other ways to improve cell tower signal? I use the device on the go in the field, and would also be interested in additional antennas that might help. THanks!

You need to buy a Cel-Fi Go X signal booster. They are not cheap but worth every dollar. I bought one for my home because i only had 1 bar on my phone. Now I have 4-5 bars of LTE and a signal in every room where I had no service. I'm now going to get the MR 1100 and use that as my home internet. Being able to connect it to my router is going to be awesome! FYI my download speed is 28 mbps and 3 mbps!

You can if your wired router supports more. You set it for IPpassthough DHCP off and it will only provide internet to the wired router. That wired router will issue IPs and provide wireless, if it has that option. Wireless will be DISABLED on the Nighthawk when set this way. Your wired router will be doing all the routing work. The Nighthawk will be just a modem. I currently have mine plugged into an 8 port switch with Nighthawk set normally doing all the routing function, as 20 devices is more than enough for me. It covers my wired/wireless needs.

So Im in the process of turning the storage unit that I rent into mancave. I have everything I need in there. Couch, lazy boy, space heater, flat screen, xbox, microwave, mini fridge, etc. Only thing im missing is the internet because it doesnt have any coaxial or ethernet outlets. Will this be a good fit for my situation?

You will be fine unlocked. The unlocking is if you wanted to use the device on a network other that AT&T. You can take this to Verizon or tmo, . But it has to be unlocked before it will work in those carriers.

pls read this u said in the vid about the battery but u can easily remove it and leave the charger in and it will work fine no battery warnings nothing basicly u can just leave the fullcharge battery when ur about to head out

I have a simcard that provide 50Mbps data, on an average signal of 3 antenna bar icon. It only ran on 5Mbps speed using ZTE MF920V wifi hotspot. I would want to know should I switch to NetGear instead?

Moving into a new house with zero wifi service from major companies. I was thinking going with this. You hooked it up with your home service. Would we need a home service to use it. We were thinking about just use our Hotspot on our AT&T phones

Thanks for the review. As you, I've been using three M1 as my main internet source for about 1.5 years. Can you tell me why my lights sometimes blink blue sometimes 1 every 3 to 4 secs, and sometimes 2 blinks every 3 top 4 secs? Is there a tutorial on the blinking patterns?

Johnny blaze at&t, you create a company account and ask for the hotspot which the nighthawk includes two different networks. 5g and 2g but both have double nat type and it makes it strict so bad for gaming

I did the mod to send data threw the Cat5 outlet but had to set it back because it only allows data threw the cat5 and not wireless. So now I get wifi AND Cat5 data

Will this modem power up and function with a powered USB plugged in without the battery attached?

Otrmobile.com it's true unlimited at&t 4g LTE data for $60.00 a month. It's also NO CONTRACT

Can you block out the two other screens from being displayed on the LCD? Also can you turn off the WiFi so only the ethernet port is available for use?

Even the 34$ plan on this reply throttles. This person has 1 of 2 reasons why they think it doesnt. 1 they dont reach their cap. Or 2 they do but live in an area where when on deprytoritasation there arent a ton of people on that tower.

How did you get unlimited data with the nighthawk? AT&T has told me they dont offer it. They have a 5gig plan and then charge for every gig after that.

I used a company call netbuddy.co but there are several out there that are on ATT but provide true unlimited data for ~$60 a month.

This router does put out wifi signal, he said it didn't at 5:10, just got mine today works great.

He doesn’t. Zero companies offer unlimited.

Even new batteries discharge when charged above 80% that’s why iPhones learn your sleep schedule and charge up the last 20% right before you wake up

This doest work for cricket or ATT go. It works for 5 seconds then provider locks sim card to 0.05 download.

@@marsco25177 I don't think the Nighthawk has this option, but you can change your TTL on the devices behind the router or at a router capable of it (like OpenWRT) behind the Nighthawk.

Using this who is the internet provider.

No the latency is terrible, online gaming is in real time, this sometimes lag but not real bad just not good for real time, streaming is actually not real time, it works good with streaming and downloading

I have called all of this services and every one of them AT&T Verizon Sprint T-Mobile says there is no such thing is unlimited data

I’m sorry to say this Netgear Nighthawk M1 is a piece of crap! Mine keeps turning on and off and service does throttle your speed! My average speed is 7download speed and does not function as stated!

When using this as a modem/ router it is advised not to leave the battery inside charging. Charge the battery then remove it and lay it aside. Constant charging a full battery harms the battery
